Nice hotel by German standards. Clean. Good views from the room and the outside terrace. You could buy a limited selection of alcohol from reception. Breakfast was nice.

Breakfast was really good, dining area was unique. The hotel was within a short walk to the altstadt, places to eat. Did not have enough time to visit a lot of the sights in the area, would like to go back and would stay at this hotel. Did not have a issue with parking.

It's quite a hike up to Wartburg.
It's quite a hike up to Wartburg. I walked from my hotel and made it to the top! It's a beautiful walk, but if you have mobility issues, take a shuttle or car. The Castle is stunning and the views are outstanding. Well worth the trip!

You can visit the rooms only with a guide.
You can visit the rooms only with a guide. There is a time slot so be aware! The tour is in German and takes 1 hour, but you can have a printed little booklet in almost every language. The tour is a must see so do not hesitate. Also be aware, it is very (!) steep to get there so if you have problems with mobility better check with the castle.

The facility is clean and mostly renovated. our room was ok, beds comfortable. Parking with plenty of parking spaces available, free. Close to town, at least by car. Also to the Wartburg castle. For a one-night stopover on a journey, quite good.
The apartment was spacious and fully equiped. The living room was directly connected to the balcony which offered an excellent feeling of being embedded in the lovely surroundings. The house is adjacent to a very beautiful hiking area and you are within 1.5 km distance of some excellent views of Wartburg castle. One of our best stays ever.
Communication with the hosts is efficient. The parkings pots are large and easy to get into.
Extremely flexible and warm-hearted host who lives in the same building in another apartment. We booked very late in the evening, having been turned down from another place. I was afraid of getting remarks about the time of booking and the extremely short notice, but no, he received us like old friends and on top of everything brought complimetary drinks. No time to stroll around the next day, as we were on a stop-over during a long drive, but seemed nice neighborhood. Yet, the Wartburg castle is a must, no matter how tight the schedule.
This is a classy hotel charging mid-market prices. For example the tables in the breakfast room had white starched tablecloths. The location is perfect - about 7 mins walk from the station with the old town just beyond (a treasure trove for Bach lovers). Buses to the historic Wartburg castle with its Luther and Wagner connections leave from just across the road.
Great location in the green area and beautiful views , close to the Wartburg castle & city centre ; we loved the way up to the hotel , even in the dark the path was well lit !
A house is located in a very beautiful area – next to the forest with walking paths and only a stone’s throw from the Wartburg castle. The apartment is fully equipped. Guests have access to the wine cellar, from which you can take whatever you want for a small fee.
The location was ideal for visiting sites in the town and the Wartburg Castle. The facilities at the hotel were excellent. everything worked and the breakfast gave a very good choice.
Great location and view for sure! The hotel is located almost at top of the hill right next to the Wartburg Castle. Driving was a little bit bumpy, BUT you will NOT regret about it! Nice and kind staff, too. I got loads and loads of help from them. PS, the fluffy Akita dog in the hotel is super duper cute, don’t pet him, he is a grumpy buddy.
