Stylish, spacious bedroom with super king bed, fridge and a large patio area with sun beds and table and chair overlooking gardens and San Jose in the distance. We loved the sunset pool too. Also the trails in the hotel grounds which would have been fantastic but were mainly closed for us due to waterlogged ground following weeks of heavy rain.

The location of the hotel was excellent, being relatively close to San Jose and the airport, but also a good base to tour from. The rooms were elevated with spectacular views over forest, and we had breakfast on the balcony accompanied by humming birds in the adjacent bushes. The hotel grounds included a short trail, which was also stunning.
The family that owned the hotel were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They organised a driver for us to undertake specific tours and helped us with a number of other matters during our stay.

The large and very comfortsble rooms. The great hospitality. We vane late in the evening and kitchen was close, however the chef fixed two very tasty soups and a glass of wine and a beer and came to our with it. Breakfast was fantastic.

The localization and the garden were magnificent! You feel there like in a magic fairy tale. Highly recommend especially for those who wants to do La Paz Waterfall Gardens - it's close to the lodge.
Villa Calas was wonderful. We had one night booked, but ended up staying an extra night. Traveling with two kids ages 4 and 2 and stayed in the junior suite. The property is exceptionally maintained and staff excellent. The included breakfast was great and we ate dinner there both nights and it was also great. They have a playground next to the restaurant and there are also peacocks roaming around which the kids loved! Great location, about 15 min to La Paz waterfall Gardens. Highly recommend staying here.
