The property was located with beautiful surroundings. A short walk from the beach and marina, with wonderful views from the room and restaurant. The room we stayed in went directly to the poolside. It was very quiet and peaceful around. Breakfast was very good quality, with a vibrant selection of food, and you were able to place orders for hot food. We were glad to be away from Ubatuba, as we wanted to relax in beautiful surroundings, this definitely ticked those boxes! :)

The staff were exceptionally helpful and communication via Booking.com was excellent. We received helpful and rapid responses from the Pousada. Our rooms were a good size, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options. The Pousada is very well located within 2 minutes walk of the beach and with a wide range of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We were on a road trip from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro to celebrate the New Year. Pousada Amenhecer do Itaguá was perfect for a stopover on the way with lots of beautiful beaches nearby.

Amazing place! I haven’t been to Sao Paulo’s north coast before and was surprised about how beautiful it is. We loved the beaches, the nature surrounding, etc. We really recommend it and would love to come back one day.

Ubatuba has great beaches, but is very near centers of mass...
Ubatuba has great beaches, but is very near centers of mass population. The result is easily accessible beach are swamped and the lowest common denominator is very low indeed. Will there are many expensive yachts, sailing boats and nice houses, the rich live behind razor wire and electric fences. There are very few upmarket restaurants at all.

Great Location, lots of space in the hotel, nice pool area, bar and restaurant. Quiet spaces, but they made the mistake to put a kids playground right on the restaurant which made the breakfast experience a little nosier than expected.

Just a small town with folk-like atmosphere. The best beaches are far and you go by car or boat. It’s expensive if you have a big family.
We enjoyed the beach of itamambuca and curral which are clean and beautiful and have access by car… I decided to pay for parking close… not very cheap but ok.
Restaurants Alecrin and Raizes were excellent options for dinner.
We saw big traffic going downtown, for us walk was a good option from the hotel to the aquarium and downtown (didn’t go to the aquarium because was full and long line, also not cheap).
Avoid need your car if you go on high season.

We had an excellent stay at Casa Melville. Staff was super helpful and kind providing recommendations. The room was beautiful, clean with a nice view. The breakfast is a very generous spread with our own basket of eggs, cake, granola, fruit salad...Location is outstanding, right in the heart of Ubatuba with countless restaurants, shops and cafes nearby.
Lovely hotel with beautiful wooden art on the walls, swimming pool and a lot of plants everywhere. Nice traditional Brazilian breakfast, friendly staff (even without speaking English they always tried to help us with a translation app).
It’s a very chill, relaxed hostel. The owner and staff are great! It feels like you are part of a family when you stay here. The location is also amazing. Next time I am in Ubatuba I will be staying at guest house again.
