The location is fine, right in front of the ocean and there are some shops around. However, the place is absolutely terrible, don’t fool yourself with fake reviews like I did.
Set in a colonial house next to Canal do Itajuru river, Solar do Arco offers accommodation in Cabo Frio. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

For sure one the best experiences I had in Brasil so far!
I loved everything about this place. Situated in a lovely and cosy neighborhood, just in front of “La ilha do Japonês”, which is just one of the most beautiful spots that I have ever seen in Brazil.
The hotel is the perfect spot if you are visiting “ A região dos lagos”, since it’s just in between Arraial do Cabo and Armação dos Búzios. The area is very safe and less than 5 minutes walk to the best restaurants of the region.
The hotel is beautiful and extremely clean, but I would like to highlight the professionalism of and kindnesses of the staff. Caroline, Marcelo and Gilberto are extremely qualified people, who bring excellence to customer satisfaction and high up the standards of “Brazilian hospitality”. They provided me with several advices and made me feel like at home. I enjoyed the experience so much that I came back a few days later again and will definitely come back when I have the chance again.
Boasting free WiFi, Hotel Boutique Recanto da Passagem is situated in Cabo Frio, 1.6 km from Water Square and 2 km from Forte Beach.

The most beautiful hotel right across from “Ilha do Japonês”. Breakfast was amazing and facilities in the hotel were super! I advice you to eat at the hotel restaurant ‘José” aswell at night, because the food is outstanding! The staff is very nice, and helpful. I enjoyed my stay a lot here!
Hotel Marlen is just 50 meters from Praia do Forte and 300 meters from shops, lively bars and restaurants. It serves a buffet breakfast and offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi.
