During check-in we were automatically upgarded to a room with a better view which was outstanding. The room was spacious and the bathroom had that all illlusive bathtub which was a real treat. The best part of our stay was the comfort of the bed, like sleeping on a cloud. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The location was within walking distance of the Circular Quay and all the activites we enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and their al la carte menu provided a bountious amount of food.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like. Download the public transport app to plan your trip. Oh and the bridge the opera house and if you're lucky one of those massive cruise ships will be in. They are like floating cities, quite a sight. There's usually some street entertainment in the area too.

It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be. Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings. If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

Really great location between two light rail stops and within walking distance to Circular Quay, Darling harbour and Barangaroo. Spoilt for choice in terms of places to eat and so easy to get around. The hotel is modern, very clean and has all you need. Having a kitchen was great for a longer stay.

The onsite restaurant and the check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had the view of the opera house which is a plus. The location of the hotel is great since it is close to the circular quay, the ferry and the cruise terminal. The in room Nespresso machine is definitely a plus for us.

The Hyatt Regency is on Darling Harbour, which is well located within walking distance of the ferries at both Barrangeroo and Circular Quay, as well as the Opera House, NSW State Library, and shopping district. The hotel staff fulfilled my request for a higher floor and harbour view. The room was refreshed daily, with perfection. After staying four nightmarish nights at the rundown Adina Apartments Darling Harbour, it was pure pleasure to stay another six nights at a real hotel and in a beautiful room.

Location, location, location. Beautiful cosy apartment, very secluded and peaceful with lovely neighbours. Lovely courtyard to enjoy reading, painting and a kids playground straight out the back gate which was perfect. Walking distance to Balmain East Wharf and Simmons point for NYE Fireworks. Would recommend to anyone wanting convenience to ferries, darling harbour, Circular Quay etc. Beds were really comfortable.

The hotel staff were fantastic and friendly. They all genuinely cared about the experience of their guests and couldn't have been more helpful. While this hotel wasn't close to the center of Sydney don't be turned off. The bus picks up right in front of the hotel that takes you right to Central Station and the trip is quick. Just be careful to note where to pick up the bus in town for the return trip. Also, an easy 20 minute walk to the train station, which will take you all the way to Circular Quay. Great hotel, great value!

The Sir Stamford is in a fantastic location - close to the Opera House and Circular Quay. We only stayed pone night this time and didn't have time to properly explore around the area (or sample the Hotel's Highlander Whiskey Bar). But we had a lovely room with views to the Harbor Bridge and Circular Quay.

Centrally located, close to Circular Quay, Barangaroo / Darling Harbour. 5 minute walk to Wynyard train station. Room was very quiet, windows sealed out noise well. All staff attentive and polite. Room and bed were very comfortable and clean. The Fax Bar was excellent, seating spaced out well and the ground floor toilet facilities are very clean as was the hotel overall. The swimming pool / gym area is excellent and well kept.
