Very accommodating staff who kept the restaurant open for us to eat when we arrived late on the first evening. Great location for visiting the main sites in Tirana. Accommodation was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was FANTASTIC.

Skanderbeg Square
Soon, this will be an impressive focal point for the city again. Right now, though, it's just a huge construction site. So skirt round it, being careful of the traffic, to visit the National History Museum or catch a performance at the National Theatre. Or climb the clock tower to view the work in progress and the equestrian statue of national hero, Skanderbeg.

This is lovely and a must for Tirana. This is the main hero of Albania. It's a really quaint square with a carrousel. You can get to all points in the center from here. I recommend the restaurant pastaria.

This was the centre of the universe during our visit.
This was the centre of the universe during our visit. While we were in Tirana they were setting up a fun fair for the Christmas season. It was also during the football world cup, so they set up a giant screen and fanscene. We watched an England game with some local young men, very friendly and respectful.

The Square has been "remodeled" over the past 5 years. It's attractive, Listening to 1 of the talented traditional music who play there was a high point of our visit. The Libraria Adrion Bookstore next to the Opera House is wonderful, and has a good selection of books in Italian, German, and English for visitors,

Albana welcomed us warmly in her pretty and big apartment (2 rooms + 2 bathrooms, big living room and well equipped kitchen). Everything was clean. Skanderbeg square is 15-20 min away walking. Public transport is close. Parking on the street, safe area.
The size of the apartment was excellent and furnished to a good standard. Bed, linen and towels good quality and location was a seven minute walk to Skanderbeg Square. Our apartment host was always available to ask questions if needed and was very helpful.

I think the best thing about this was the location very close to Skanderbeg Square within walking distance of every tourist site but also tucked away that you have some privacy. The apartment was clean well stocked modern games to play TV worked great air conditioning was fantastic even left out candies on the counter, the host was very accommodating and gracious. We were able to leave our two electronic bikes tucked away for safety.

It's right in the city center (literally 5-10min walk from Skanderbeg square); the host was very friendly and helpful, helping us with our suitcases (since there is no elevator) and even gave us many recommendations of where to go and what to do in Tirana;

The hosts are incredibly sweet and thoughtful people! The location is great! Very close to Skanderbeg Square, the New Bazaar, Dajti Ekspres, and plenty of restaurants and shopping. The apartment is clean, modern and quiet. If you stay more than seven days they offer free cleaning of the apartment.
Clean, spacious, comfortable, fully equipped apartment in a new residential building. Elevator and balcony available. The underground parking lot is a huge plus (finding a parking place in Tirana is a big issue). Very friendly and helpful landlady.
The apartment location is very good, 25 minutes walking till Tirana Skanderbeg Square. Coffee shops, restaurants and markets nearby. Highly recommended.
The apartment is in a great localization just 2 min walk from Pazari i Ri market. In 10 min you can also get to Skanderbeg Square on foot. The entire apartment was very clean. The kitchen was well equiped and some furnitures and accesories handmade what was making the place very cozy. The host was very nice, welcomed us in the appartment and provide guidelines in regards to atractions in Tirana. We were also able to leave our baggages and stay a bit longer. I can recomend this accomodation.
