The hotel is located at the back exit of the Hualien Station, only 3min walk away on a much quieter street. The hotel room is specious and new, with very comfortable bed, and most importantly it’s sparkling clean. The staff is friendly and extremely attentive, but may not have the extensive tourism information, however the official Tourism office is just 3min away at the Hualien Station! I stayed 2 nights there with my elderly parents and they’re very happy with their facility and environment too. I would highly recommended this hotel and will definitely stay there again if I visit Hualien.

Really great price for a private room with a private bathroom. Good location. It’s a 30 min walk to train station but super close to the night market and other restaurants. The lobby area had free instant noodles and filtered water a mini fridge. Room was spacious. Manager was very nice and let me stay an extra night in the same room for a discounted price due to the typhoon.

He only introduced himself as a member of the staff Next day we figured out who he was.

Hualien Tourism Sugar Factory Hotel ligger i Guangfu och har gratis cyklar, en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. The accommodation is exceptional, especially for the price. A renovated Japanese-style apartment, with option of beds or futon in the tatami room. There were two bathrooms, both beautifully done, and the nearby restaurant, while rather spartan in decor (it is also used for the breakfast room) served fantastic food.
