Gosh, been there a few times now. I can't stand the people selling stuff in the markets. They won't let you look first. The keep pushing, pushing you to buy, buy. I just walk away now. Get a driver and head to the night market they are much better.

We have been to Phuket before, so did not book any tours. Went for pure relaxation, and that's what we did. The first full day was so relaxed it felt like we had been there 4 or 5 days. On the day to come home, we would have liked to stay. We had 3 massages whilst there, and while one was cheaper than the other two, it was worth paying the extra for the different massage. Bangla Road is peaceful during the day, and a night party from dusk. Even though we aren't party animals, it was great people watching while sitting in a pub. Some restaurants that don't look much (Hippie Road Bar) provide the best food, and some that look better really disappoint (Outback Bar). We fully intend to return to Patong again, for the atmosphere (we like to be around people) and the serenity we had while in a busy spot.
Love Thailand, love Phuket and the people are awesome

For the city itself, overcrowded tourist trap as expected, I wanted to check it in person and unfortunately, I came to conclude that bars are tacky, drinks barely worth the price, "massage hostesses" constantly hassle you in the most vulgar way as soon as you walk the street ( they don't even look good on top of it, ah ! ) and the food options, while numerous, are a shame compared to what I've tasted in other more authentic places around Phuket.
I was extremely disappointed at the look of the beach too which is polluted by plastic bits of trash everywhere, and hordes of jet skis constantly destroying the view and noise level.
Not worth visiting for more than 3 days to shop at the mall and see a boxing match. You can find both better beaches (and b"tches to be honest) elsewhere.

but the attitude in the low season is a hit or miss (i went in july).
they do discriminate based on skin color but don't let that stop you from enjoying the amazing morning activities like the phi phi island trip and the rafting session which is my favorite.
I loved literally everything. I cannot think if a better way to enjoy our stay. The hotel location was perfect on the best spot of patong beach exactly 5 mins by car and 15 mins walk to bangla road the buziest area of phuket. The room was suuuuper clean with perfect view. It was very spacious and all facilities were provided. Breakfast was soooo varied whatever is your taste. The staff were very friendly and very helpful
Right in the middle of Patong Beach but I slept soundly - no noise coming in at all and amazing bed! Checked in and out with Mam, she’s the best! All the staff are very warm and helpful. The security at the guard house always greet me when I arrived. Room was awesome! Regret not staying in Phuket longer 😭
