Hello Hotels Bucuresti Gara de Nord, hotel in Bucharest

Just a 3-minute walk from the Gara de Nord Train Station, Hello Hotels offers modern, air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. The centre of Bucharest can be reached in 10 minutes by public transport.

Great staff, kind and helpful, speaking English very well. Very good location, close to the main train station (connection to the airport, too). Someone commented that area is not really nice/clean/safe, not pleasant smells are around... My experience was rather different. I felt quite safe and didn't register any strange smells on way between train station and hotel (4-5 min walk without suitcases, 7-8 min walk with luggage, along wide, well lighten streets and across parking lot). Clean and tidy hotel. Bright and light room, cute and cheerful. Comfy bad. Previous guests remarked the concept of glass walls/doors of toilet and shower, providing no privacy. Not in my room! Or - not anymore. Obviously hotel carefully read and respect reviews, doing their best to satisfy guests. Hence, glass walls/doors of bathroom section in my room were covered by opaque wallpaper. Breakfast is quite ok, with decent offer of hot and cold, salty and sweet food, including tea and coffee. Good value for money. My stay in Hello Hotel was more than pleasant. I will be glad to be their guest in future, as well as to recommend it to other travellers.

Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest, hotel in Bucharest

Located in the heart of Bucharest, on well-known boulevard Calea Victoriei, Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest stands out for its elegant appearance, modern design and luxury settings.

we booked two rooms, and we needed it together, as we arrived late they had to upgrade the rooms to provide that request, so they upgraded our rooms with no extra fees. also we had one drink from the minibar, and they did not charge us for it. the staff at the hotel was grate, they were really nice and offered things that helped us before we had to ask. one morning we arrived late to breakfast, the kids buffet was nearly empty. the girls are 8 and 10 so they found food in the "normal" buffet, but the hostess went to the kitchen and got them serials and kids yogurt without our asking. it felt like the staff went out of its way to make us happy. one room had a view to the pool, the other to the street, with a little "bed" on the windows edge so you can look out to the beautiful avenue. the hotel is located near everything and you can walk and find whatever you need.

The staff were amazing. People these days forget what it means to offer proper hospitality, but to my surprise, the people were nice and always smiling. The facilities were okay. The cleanliness was spot on—give your cleaning staff a raise. The food was one of the best experiences I had at a hotel in Romania. I will definitely come back and use the services you provide.

FAQs about hotels in Bucharest

Where Modern Meets Old

A fascinating mix of old and new, Bucharest is one of those cities where you can find a futuristic structure of glass and steel next to an old church, separated by a Communist-style massive edifice. Not overwhelmed by its dark past, the city is now turning its optimistic face towards the West.

Undergoing constant modernisation processes, the city continually changes and new modern structures pop up in the city centre and beyond. Great examples are the stunning Basarab Bridge, Europe’s widest cable-stayed bridge, and the City Gate Towers.

Whilst admiring the new, don’t miss out on the old classics, like the Parliament Palace, the world’s second largest building, with over 3100 rooms and impressive marble interiors covering 330,000 m². Make sure you admire the view from Nicolae Ceauşescu's balcony!

To fully appreciate the city’s long history, from Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula) to the ’89 revolution, the city offers free guided walking tours, giving you a great opportunity to discover all the city’s secrets. And spot all the best shopping venues!

Before you land at Bucharest Airport, just 18 km from the city centre, make sure you check what Booking.com has to offer: from hotels to apartments, just a few clicks away!

The area is well-maintained, with a nice and clean environment that enhances the overall experience. It's conveniently located near various landmarks, making it easy to explore the attractions. Safety is a priority here, contributing to a sense of security while wandering around. While some prices can be a bit high, there are also many affordable options available, striking a balance in the overall cost of living. The public transportation system is efficient and reliable, making it easy to navigate the city. Additionally, there are large parks filled with greenery, providing ample space for relaxation and outdoor activities. The people in the community are friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the area.

It was an amazing fall, making it nice to walk around, in parks. I went to the Obor Market and Bucur Obor, it was simply amazing, I eat Mici at Terasa Obor and Papanasi at Carul cu Bere, I went for another walk on the Lipscani/Centrul Vechi. The Metropolitan Circ Park is definitely a must do, we really enjoyed. I have used Uber, the services are fair, just avoid the rush hours.

Following our son’s advices, we spent only 2 days in Bucharest and 8 days in Brasov. I think it is a proper proportion when you visit this country. Of course we would need more days in Brasov and we need to visit other sites as Danube’s delta or cities like Timisoara.

I liked the brutalist architecture and the simplicity of the excellent(and cheap)Metro system so I never got lost! The area around the University was the best for bars and the people whether they spoke English or not were always friendly. The rough sleepers and old ladies begging took a bit of getting used to but my conscience was eased by giving all my coinage away whernever I could. I particularly liked The Palace of The People especially as there was one great big barbecue with local beer, wine and food occuring in the park in front of the palace.

I was expecting more coffee culture and decent prices compared to the UK. But everything seemed the same price even when we ventured outside of the Old Town, there is no vibe to the city. Food and coffee were disappointing in every place to went to. Very run down, nothing pretty and not much to see

    City of many beautiful buildings.

City of many beautiful buildings. Lots of bars and place to eat - they love a coffee shop - second only to churches - all within walking distance - if you stay in the old town, you wont need a taxi - relaxed and laid back people, who are friendly. History is interesting about how the capital came about as well as the communist years

Brand new hotel and modern, spacious apartment, kind and helpful staff. We stayed in the heart of Bucharest, in a very central location. Great location, next to the old town. Mrs. Kelekidou, manager of the hotel, willing to meet us and serve us in anything we needed. Kind and very pleasant person informed us about the attractions of the city. I highly recommend. If you choose Bucharest for a leisure trip or a business trip, it is indisputably the best place for your stay.

I travel a lot, but Radisson Bucharest has made it into top 10 hotels I stayed in. The staff is great (especially the receptionists and the bar/ restaurant staff.) Cleanliness is done spotlessly in all areas, not only in the room. The breakfast is amazing with a huge variety of dishes for every taste. It's indeed a 5 star hotel which will for sure exceed your expectations.
