We are in-love of Ilo-Ilo for so many reasons. But I think what impressed us the most is the city's ESPLANADE. Imagine having this place as an option for anyone to exercise and relax.

Tourist spots are near to each other, accessible by PUVs and travel time is within 5-15 mins only. I love their museums, they have 4 different museum and my personal favorite is the Museum of PH Maritime history.

Iloilo City is a nice city, but was very happy with dinner at the Fish Port. Hotel location is okay. However, we have some issues with the accommodation. we booked for 3 people but only 2 towels were provided, had to request for additional bed sheet. The water pressure in the shower was too low and got concerned with the water that came out as it was rusty/ dark. However after letting it flow for a few minutes the water cleared. Had to use the bucket and oversized cup, heated water with the electric kettle and warmed the water in the bucket, completed my very quick shower. LIke I was camping. Just made the most of what is available. Otherwise, it's like an adventure, your attitude of how to handle a situation with what is available to work with. With a little improvement, it's not a bad accommodation. We did not get a chance to go around the city, just wanted to meet up with some relatives.

I always like being in Iloilo City.
I always like being in Iloilo City. As a student in the 70s; I have seen so much progress and development, however, there are areas too where structural plans (overfly) were unfinished, thereby, causing more chaos and frustrations to vehicular travellers; e.g., in Pavia as an example.
I love the Ilongo people of Iloilo; somehow they have a certain gentleness in them, respectful and always willing to help. May I also mention that my favourite are the people of Guimaras. They almost have a different culture from the rest of the places I have visited around our country for the same reasons as mentioned above but just a degree higher.

Modernized and yet still retains the history and the culture. Traffic is reasonable. Food selections and restaurants are impressive. People are still the same friendly, hospitable and always have a warm smile. The beaches are great. Proud to be an Ilonggo.
This is a economy location. If you want more get out your wallet. I stayed one night at a go hotel at Robertson mall. Hated every minute. And would give them a 1. If you are a traveller and want adventure. This niebourhood gives it all. Is it perfect here. No. But does it fill the needs. Yes. Staff are awesome and treat you as family. What is that worth?
The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel and room are neat. The location is very accessible and near city proper. Plus there’s a JD bake shop on the ground floor!!!
