Historic Melaka (or Malacca) is the capital of the Malaysian state of the same name, home to one of the country’s first sultanates. The replica of the sultan’s palace is one of the city’s top attractions.
The end of the sultanate came with the Portuguese conquest of Melaka in the 16th century. Reminders of this period include part of A Famosa fort, and there is also a fort built by the next settlers – the Dutch. Several Dutch churches also remain, including Christ Church with its pinkish façade.
Nowadays, Melaka is a melting pot of various cultures, and Chinese temples – such as wonderful Cheng Hoon Teng – sit happily alongside Hindu temples and mosques. The most spectacularly located of the latter is Masjid Selat (or Malacca Straits Mosque), on stilts above waters lapping an offshore island.
Many Melaka hotels on Booking.com are near the promenade lining the narrow city beach, and others are near more secluded beaches in the suburbs. The Melaka River splits the city into 2, and the further inland you travel along it, the more traditional the buildings become.
Just before the river’s first bend is Jonker Street, the heart of Chinatown and popular for its night markets, while a good few miles to the north is Melaka Airport in the Batu Berendam district.
I love Melaka ! There is so much to see, great food and people are very friendly !
As usual, Jonker street always enticed me to the loud 'old/traditional' songs , antique stuff, craft works, exciting cafes.. Nyonya food, somewhat clean environment
Jonker street will take one to two days if you really want to enjoy each outlets.

Most of the attractions are centralised and within walking distance, we need not look for transport.
There are many creative attractions which you don't see in other towns of Malaysia.
Some of the shops/stalls were closed even during peak times. Town council/Tourism Board should enforce strict opening times.
The price of tickets for attractions are pricey for locals. There should be a significant margin of price difference between locals and foreigners. Some tickets did have a price difference but not significant. Assuming a family of five visiting, it has a lot of cost impact.

The Malacca town are very beautiful and it is one of the clean and neat towns in Malaysia. There are varieties of food everywhere here. Suitable place to visit with families and one of my favourite is Taming Sari Tower, where you can view Malacca from above.Baba Nyonya cuisine is a must try in here along with the trishaw(beca) drive. I had a great time here.

Many lovely tourist spots worth the time exploring around Jonkers street, the A Formosa, St Pauls church, museum and Christ Church. Local delicacies aplenty at tourist spots.
Difficult to find parking around tourist spots. Need improvement to publicise local transportation.
The hotel is very well located in the historic center of Malacca. Thé room was very clean, beds are very comfortable and clim is ok.
All the personal is very nice and helpful. They help us Booking a taxi because we had an issue with the grab and it was very helpful !
If we have the chance to come back ro Malacca, we will go in this hotel
The hotel was cheap and located near the Ayer Keroh Toll Station. This hotel was intended as a stopover on a road trip up North while avoiding a drive all the way into Malacca City, hence it met the expectations. The hotel breakfast was also quite decent considering the price we paid.
1) Very calm & peace indoor hotel environment
2) Friendly staff
3) Decent room & breakfast meal
4) Clean and nice hotel decorations for taking pictures
5) Strategic location, in the midtown of Bandar Hilir (tourist spot)
