A native of Rum Village, Eteg Ablwi has extensive experience working in the bustling ecotourism business in Wadi Rum. A natural entrepreneur, Eteg started his company, Golden Sands Camp and Jeep Tours, 10 years ago. Fluent in English and Arabic, Eteg looks forward to the opportunity to welcome tourists from all over the world to Wadi Rum and provide visitors with the services necessary to allow them to witness the wonders of his homeland firsthand.

Prepare to be amazed by Nabatean inscriptions at Lawrence Spring and Khezali Canyon. Get ready to feel the wind rush through your hair as you stand triumphantly atop the Big Bridge or sandboard down the Great Sand Dune. After enjoying the sunset, Eteg will take you back to the camp and serve you Zarb, a delicious Bedouin meal cooked under the sand. When night falls, you will be entertained by the sound of the Oud as you sip tea and dance under the stars. The next morning, Eteg invites you to enjoy breakfast in the camp as the sun rises over Wadi Rum. Golden Sands Camp is equipped with the best technology available in the desert. Powered by two solar panels, our camp receives electricity 24 hours per day in the Summer and 18 hours per day in the Winter. All of our tents thus have electric lighting and outlets. Our bathrooms have toilet paper and soap, desert luxuries we are happy to provide to our esteemed guests. Should you want to take a shower after a long day in the desert, we have the facilities to enable you to do that too!

Golden Sands Camp is located in the center of Wadi Rum. It is within walking distance of the Great Sand Dune and Khezali Canyon.
