The food was simply amazing. We had one lunch and one breakfast.
The early check-in request was handled well by the property. We reached by 12, and while we were eating our lunch, we received our room keys by 1.

We indulged in room service while we were here and it was delightful! I had a thali both mornings for breakfast, and we ate on the terrace. Often we were alone, but there were other families/couples there from time to time. The outside of the hotel is absolutely stunning, and the courtyard is beautiful. There was even a photoshoot in the courtyard at one point with a model, and it completely made sense since it was so beautiful. The elevator was a plus with all of our bags. The location was easily accessible from the train station, which is how we arrived to Jaipur. But also we could easily find anemenities that we needed like pharmacy and convenience stores.

I read Gayatri Devi’s Princess remembers book. That’s triggered me to visit. Impressed with the history and the land of legends but the city was so dirty, not maintained the historical buildings. Too many shops and beggars everywhere. Public toilet facilities were substandard; men urinating publically. The guide told us that the Princess is the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan. I thought Rajputs would do anything to make their heritage look beautiful.
Too many vehicles inside the Pink City. Block all the vehicles inside the pink city between 1 pm to 8 pm. Only allowed buses to carry the people in during the busy times to bring them into the pink city. You must do something with those powerlines and the posters. I wonder who reads the posters on the side of the road and buildings when you can read everything on your phone. I felt like buying a gerni and start cleaning everything.

Jaipur is a wonderful city and a lovely place to hang out, especially for people who are going from Delhi. It is a very good weekend destination to spend time with your family. There is everything for all kinds of people. The people who like history then they can visit various forts and study their history and how the kings used to live. I would recommend to always hire a guide if you are visiting the forts as you come to know the stories around the forts otherwise you will just be roaming around them blindly and clicking photographs. Jaipur is also for those who like to have food as you can go to the famous "Masala Chowk" that is near the Albert Hall Museum and try some lip-smacking dishes. If you are going with children then you dont want to miss the famous chowki dhani. For those, who liek shopping then you can visit the famous bapu bazaar and Johri Bazaar where you can buy all sorts of items from ladies suits to Rajasthani quilts to wall decorations and fridge magnets.

Originally we were going to stay 2 nights but extended for one more, and that was enough for us. The shopping is less hectic than Delhi and the tourism attractions are worth seeing. The weather and pollution are better than the other cities we visited, and the locals were also more friendly than other places. Well worth a visit...Amber Palace, Hawa Mahal and the markets. For eating or sunset try some of the roof top bars, they are fabulous to see the city from above, and check the local families and kids chatting and kite flying.

Jaipur is a city of 3 million, the traffic is terrible, the tourist sights are packed with visitors and this makes it hard to enjoy this beautiful city. I would recommend any other Rajasthani destination ahead of Jaipur. Avoid it if you dare.

The Sheel Mahal is located in the very center of the bustling Pink City of Jaipur - however, quietly located in a relaxed courtyard off the main alley. The hotel is in an historic residential building and very well renovated. The rooms are very cozy, impressivly decorated and superclean. There is also a roofterrace overlooking the old town. The entire staff (especially Deepak and Mr. Khan) were very helpful and superfriendly and the service was excellent which made my stay very pleasant and enjoyful. Thank you very much!
Absolutely everything, stunning hotel with 5 star service and the rooms are outstanding, best pillows and mattress and decor of hotel rooms is beautiful. Food too is wonderful. A must stay when in Jaipur.Highly rated.
