The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were fresh and plentiful, catering to everyone’s needs. The transfer service was great, offering local activities for moderate prices. Cosmos is located in the centre of Athens, 50 meters from Metaxourgeio Metro Station. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. The Acropolis area is just a 5-minute metro ride away.

Hotel was ok. Safe and secure. You get what you pay for. Staff were great. By night, the area is unfortunately full of junkies and people are taking drugs literally in front of you. This was the downside. Lots of Police around, but generally drinking coffee. Shops are readily available to purchase all your needs. This was a bonus.

FAQs about hotels in Athens

A Dynamic City with 3400 Years of History

With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history whilst embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you will find tavernas serving tantalising souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.

A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds downtown.

Changing the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The up-market districts of Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.

Athens contains some of the finest museums in the world such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.

    Stayed 3 days.

Stayed 3 days. Hit most of the highlights (Acropolis/Parthenon, Temple of Hephaestus, Stoa of Attalos, Roman Agora, shopping district). So much more to see still. Fantastic food everywhere. Was still pretty warm (upper 80's) in early September. Would return in late September or October in the future. Nancy's Sweet Shop and Zoubourlou's breakfast foods are "Must Eat" locations. Flint Athens, and Maiandros' are also fantastic (the chicken Gyro platter at Maiandros was the best I've ever had). Just reserve a hotel/accommodations within a 10 minute walk of Monastiraki Square, and you'll be within a 15-20 minute walk of all the main attractions of downtown Athens.

Nice warm weather when we visited in August, friendly locals. Great food and it was quite affordable in terms of hotels and taxis. Our visits to the monuments were memorable. Overall a very lovely place to visit for a vacation.

Athens is just fabulous with the well known historical attractions. In addition the city centre is a delight to wander around and enjoy the multicultural experience. Eating and drinking is great and not expensive by capital city standards or even by general UK comparison. The whole experience is lovely. Evening entertainment is refined - not for the stag/hen do crowd or anything similar. Policing in Athens is effective and it feels like it is there to ensure nothing spoils the atmosphere. The result is a feeding of safety and security the many cities don’t achieve - super job Athens!

Lovely city, a nice mixture of modern with lots of history and things to do. Arrived on Thursday afternoon and left Sunday midday, and could have stayed for much longer. The public transport is great and the tickets were simple to understand and reasonably priced. We only used the metro but there seemed to be plenty of buses and taxis. We loved particularly the Acropolis (we had 8am tickets to avoid the worst of the heat), Mount Lycabettus at sunset and a boat trip to nearby Aegina island, which was simply stunning. Only downside was that my mother's purse was stolen on the metro on the way to the airport!

Athens is a beautiful city and its culture is magnificent- we always stay for 2 to 3 days to enjoy the sights and views of the Acropolis etc - the food is unreal and tomatoes are just delicious and very tasty- next year we plan to stay a little longer to see some singers in the ancient theatre next to the Acropolis- Irodeon theatre

Really appreciated the quality service from every single staff member we interacted with. The hotel emanates a strong sense of luxury from the comfortable, clean rooms to the rooftop pool. My cousin and I both agree Vision Omonia was the best accommodation we’ve experienced out of the six different accommodation providers we stayed with on our trip to Greece! Hope to return one day!
