Lovely place, beautiful views, great walking round the lake and doing a boat trip, all in a healthy environment. Good to visit in November as there are less tourists and we were lucky with the weather - Annecy was beautiful in the sun . I think often people are put off by the many tourists in the old town and restaurants. People were welcoming and friendly. We went up to the Chateau Menthon St Bernard by bus, and foot - was not very clear for finding the route up the hill to the castle on foot, but we did it and it was worth it as the guided tour of the chateau was very good. In general better to visit without the car as it seems parking could be difficult.

It's a very pretty town. The lake is very nice. I did a full tour of the lake on foot. I stayed for 4 days, which was a bit too long. I think 2 or 3 days are enough. If the weather would have been better (it rained quite a bit) I would have taken at list one day trip, so then 4 days would have made sense.

Annecy is a lovely town.
Annecy is a lovely town. We stayed there on route to somewhere else but certainly could have spent longer than the two nights we were there. If you are into walking or cycling it would be perfect. Also lots of nice places to eat and good shopping.

We stayed 3 nights and that gave us a great feel of Annecy Such a beautiful town We walked so much of it and did a 1 hour cruise on the lake...always good to see these places from the water too
Plus we did a full day trip to Chamonix and Mont Blanc which was wonderful, using public transport
The bus from Lyon Airport was on time and very well coordinated with our flight

Annecy is Very touristy and there's only a few things to do in the city. It did seem quite safe where we were and the canals were beautiful with lots of flowers, the lake even if you don't get out on it is beautiful and a great place to walk after meals. There many shops nearby. Most restaurants are delicious with some Michelin mentions right there in the area. My recommendation that I wish I had known sooner was to research and go to all the things outside of Annecy and use it as a home base, there are so many castles nearby, the Fier river gorge, the glacier tunnel visit (with a cog train and gondola ride to get there) at Chamonix-Mont Blanc is not far, look around at all the things to do nearby!

First - the location is excellent - right in the heart of town. Second, you must realize that your room is over a restaurant. To get to your room you must go through that restaurant. Surprisingly the noise level coming from below was not that bad.
The room itself was very nice and large.
The breakfast was very generous and good. You won't want lunch because it is so hearty.
I would recommend staying here as long as you are okay with staying over a restaurant.

Perfect location in the center of the old town. Bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream shops, bars and restaurants are right around the corner and all of Annecy is very walkable from here. The apartment was spacey and light and nicely decorated (it feels more like a home than like a hotel). Well equipped kitchen, large bathroom with both a big shower and a bath tub. We never met the host but were able to pick up the key from the key box at the apartment with the code that was emailed to us. We enjoyed our stay.
The staff were so friendly, the hotel is beautiful and location perfect. I look forward to returning again. We used Hebe's electric bicycles to reach Lake Annecy in 5 minutes. Breakfast was delicious. Wifi is speedy. Parking is 1 minute away and even subsidised. Hebe really is the perfect boutique hotel. When you don't need a spa or conference facilities. Just a warm welcome, stylish interior design, a comfy bed and everything on your doorstep... Oh and it is all at a very reasonable price!
Excellent location, next to the train station and Annecy centre and old town which offer lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities. Room was clean with little kitchenette and bed comfortable. We managed to park under the hotel, however there are only limited spaces available. There is a shopping mall next door which also has parking availability.
