Is a beach House, so the location is the best. My room with balcony and sea view was amazing for pictures and you can see an espectaular sunset. The atention of Vinicio was excelent ! and the prices of the meals were fair.

The place is located just in front of the beach. I stayed there only one night. The room was like in the photos, the food was delicious, and the staff was helpful. The pick-up and drop-off by taxi went smoothly. I enjoyed my stay. It was not noisy as indicated in the other reviews. The only sound I heard was the waves' sound. Just a little note, all these hotels are located at the beach. There is no car access; if you do not want to carry your luggage after the taxi drops you, you need to request a carrier that costs 20.000 COP (or you can request the boat shuttle, cheaper than a taxi, faster, and drops you off in front of the hotel at the beach, but your luggage and yourself can get wet :) )

Gafitas is family run and you instantly become part of the family on arrival. It's not a luxury place but you will be attended better than you would be at a 5 star hotel. And the views are spectacular.... especially after the day tourists leave the island...

The staff was really nice and attentive. They gave recommendations when needed. I recommend you absoutely do the bioluminscent tour with Jaime, a very sweet man. During the stay with my sister it was only me and her and the cost was 40 pesos each , very worth it our own private tour. You will need to take the lancha they are offering you right when you get on the beach because the location is in play tranquila and its a way to walk , if you are carrying a lot of bags you will need it. Your host will probably provide you with one if you ask or he will offer it to you and you should take it cost is about 10 pesos one way for each person. We got the room with the beach view and it had a very basic things no actual sink so keep that in mind , you are going out to natural so this is for sure the experience you will receive.

The staff were incredible and went out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. They helped us book transportation back and forth as well as activities. The location and amenities were better than anywhere else around there and they were fair with their prices and didn't rip us off like the other places in the area. Absolutely loved that the day beds and hammocks were free or included in their price for a room. All the other locations tried to charge us over $100usd to sit under an umbrella it's outrageous. Would definitely recommend taking a boat straight to this hostel to avoid the scammers. Once you arrive at this hostel you won't want to leave, they have everything you need to enjoy a great vacation and their prices at their bar are restaurant are cheaper than most in the area. The staff are phenomenal!

great little hotels and restaurants in the area but too many hawkers selling you stuff. Be careful with your personal items. Bring your own towels. Sunset beach restaurant had nice cabana types to relax and consume.

Loved it, although it does make a difference the time you pick to go ie, high season or low season. I went during the low season from Monday night to Wednesday starting the month of June, it wasn't crowded and was very enjoyable.

If you only have a day or two and need some beach time near Cartagena Playa Blanca works to get yourself in the Caribbean and walk on the sand. The water is clean and warm but the actual beach is quite narrow with many hostels built right out to the tide line and it is very busy with day trippers. Swim in the mornings and late afternoon before all the tour boats arrive and book a room at the far end of the beach- Playa Tranquila- with an upstairs balcony facing the ocean to have a little oasis to yourself when the afternoon activity happens. Food all along the beach is limited but we found the restaurant at Coral Azul to be quite good and with reasonable pricing

A wonderful rustic shack on the beach, with delicious food and caring staff. Stunning ocean and beach views. They advertise WiFi but what they mean is that there is good cellular data reception at the property. Relax, enjoy but don't ring unreasonable expectations. Flushing the toilet with a bucket of ocean water isn't all that bad. Cold water showers feel really refreshing after a day of beach walking! Chill. Relax. Enjoy!
