we felt that Sydney was in need of a complete clean up.
we felt that Sydney was in need of a complete clean up. All the pavements looked dirty and many of the pavers were broken or a trip hazard. There was also a lot of rubish lying around.
We ate a a French crepe restaurant at Circular Quay which was amazing and also at Spice street. We recommend anyone to go there.
We went to the show Titanque on Saturday night. Absolutely a must to see.

I have been over charged.
I have been over charged. My credit card was charged on the arrival day, including a 100AUD room deposit. I have emailed the hotel management several times, sent them my credit card statement and they still maintain it’s correct. Very disappointing.

I’ve visited Sydney several times and I find the circular quay area to be so picturesque. I never tire of seeing it.
The weather is always lovely.
There is plenty to do for families. Our favourites are Taronga Zoo, Sea Life aquarium, ferry ride to Manly, and the many beautiful beaches.
The only call out is the traffic. It can take a long time to get to places, and tolls are expensive!

This was not a normal trip for me to Sydney.
This was not a normal trip for me to Sydney. I grew up and have family in Sydney. I flew down just to pick up my car, then to go to Kempsey to our Storage unit and collect some personal items then return to the Gold Coast.
So it was basically, fly down, get public transport to the Northern Beaches. Collect my car, visit a friend and my Mum. Drive to the Lakeside Hotel, sleep drive to Kempsey pick up some items and drive back to the. Gold Coast.

What you would expect from a hotel above a bar, had the basic amenities, tea/coffee, TV and bathroom - air con worked which was a blessing in the 30 plus degree heat outside. Stayed on the 2nd floor, tram noise louder than the bar below. Bar was generally quiet week nights and louder Sat/Sun.
Location is great for Sydney CBD access and public transport links. We walked everyday to Sydney Harbour Bridge and The Opera House - about 2-3 km.
Clean, modern room and flexible bedding options, depending on the group. Great location to access Sydney Airport. Slightly further in distance than some other hotels, but much easier to get to the airport, because it’s near Mascot train station (one stop). Also easy to access Sydney CBD by train in 10 minutes (2 stops to Central). Staff were friendly and price was reasonable.
We were in Sydney for the weekend from NZ and this was a great spot in the CBD - short walk to train station and close to shops, buses and trams. Very helpful staff, nice clean room - everything you need and compared to other CBD hotels, good value for money. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great stay. The staff are generous, kind and really professional. We loved the cleanliness, the great breakfast. We've previously stayed in other 'corporate' hotels in the CBD, that were significantly dearer, and this hotel, although further from Central Sydney, was a lot better.
Great place at this price point, rooms are a little small, but that's not unusual for hotels in Sydney CBD. Clean, staff were very helpful. Great access to the center of Sydney, close to tram lines, etc.
