You asked about cleanliness, and the room itself was fine except for the floor, and the hard surfaces need more detailed clean and so do the shower doors around the bottom. Attention to detail is not there and it is important to feel you don’t have to wear shoes as soon as you step out of bed.

The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. Also a lovely lawn area, great for our baby. We felt very relaxed in the space. Everything was labeled with clear instructions which made things easy. It was about a 20 second walk to the Main Street, it doesn’t get much better than that! Helen and Jack were so accommodating, and fabulous commentators.
Lovely location for a family trip of 2 days to 3 days.
Lovely location for a family trip of 2 days to 3 days. You have the beach, boat ride, granite island (ride there on horse tram), fair rides, cockle train, a lovely museum, children play area and a nice little village feeling. Thai restaurant next to hotel victor serves delicious food. There is a award winning bakery nearby. A coffee shop near an ice cream shop serves great coffee. In the night, everything closes but you have MacDonalds if you crave late night food.

Victor Harbor is a beautiful place to visit. You have all the shops and restaurants either in Victor or close by in Port Elliot or Goolwa and everything in between. Plenty of choice of accommodation types. Would recommend to anyone.

I like the food stalls, the walk out to the island, the museum and the two playgrounds. My kids like spotting crabs on the island rocks. There are so many places to eat, there’s something for everyone. We ate at Nino’s which served beautifully made fresh pizzas. Most of the main precinct is for walking , and there are a multitude of free parking options right along the coastline.

I am planning to go back as this time was just an overnight stay, which gave us not a lot of time to look around before we had to leave the next day. What we saw was beautiful and we look forward to returning.

Staying at the Nightcap Hotel Victor was within a short walking distance of the main street for Cafes, takeaway food and shops . A short distance to Granite Island Causeway which you can walk over to the Island or catch the Horse drawn tram which is a wonderful experience for young and old. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Museums and the train Station for the Tourist train to Goolwa and Back. Victor Harbor is a good base to drive and explore the close towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton and also the Fleurieu peninsula.

A beautiful restored hotel facing the water. The long balcony offers their guest the best views in Victor Harbor.
We had a no contact check-in, which worked perfectly. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Our budget room had a separate bathroom that was 20m from the room, which was fine. It was large and clean and had the best water pressure.
The room itself had a sink and fridge, a comfortable bed . We spent time sitting on the balcony having drinks watching the water.
The cottage was light, bright, clean and comfortable. Perfect location for our time away in Victor Harbor. We enjoyed the quiet location and lovely views from the lounge and tree-top verandah. Beds were comfortable. The host left eggs from their farm which was lovely.
I have stayed a few times now and I'm normally very happy. It's value for money and walking distance to fish, which is why we like to stay a night or two in Victor Harbor. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay at the NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park. My daughter loves the waterslide and pool, it is such a great area for the kids. The location is great and the cabins were clean and cosy.
