Absolutely loved this place, it has the best location and the best vibes! The host was ever so helpful and friendly, I felt so welcomed. There is so much to do in the area and so much wildlife to see, especially if you are into bird watching like me. There are also surf boards, a kayak and paddle boards at the holiday park which you can use. Paddling in the morning around the mangroves is so refreshing and once done you can have well-deserved and super tasty breakfast and a coffee at the Pelican Shores Cafe and you will be spoiled for options with the extensive menu. If I knew how good this place is I would have booked much longer stay, I truly hope I get to go back there some day. One thing to note however is that all eh shops in town close fairly early and so you may want to plane better for your first evening if you are arriving after 7pm. There are two restaurants and one take away that stay open until later but do check out their menus in case it doesn't appeal.

Sussex Inlet is a friendly place with good facilities.

Sussex Inlet is a friendly place with good facilities. As it's a destination without through traffic, it's easy to get around without hassles. The streetscape, parkland reserves and playgrounds are obviously cared for and clean. We really like the modern RSL and its in-house Bamboo Restaurant due to friendly staff and tasty, reasonably priced meals.

Sussex is a lovely quiet place with rivers, beaches and lakes. A very nice walking path that runs from Chris Creek bridge to Badgee bridge. There are 2 clubs and a pub to eat at also several cafes. There is a supermarket, cinema and other shops but if you’re after the big name stores go somewhere else.

This was a little secret in plain view.

This was a little secret in plain view. For us, a wonderful and calming experience, with nature in plain view that you don't get in the chaos of our cities. Lots of wildlife, that inexplainable calming of a water view (especially when you live inland). Easy walking paths along the waterfront, and clearly a popular spot for those who are already in the know. I would recommend to just go and see for yourself. Close enough to Jervis Bay, St Georges Bay etc for all the activities you may want to indulge in

Good middle ground to explore the surrounding beach.

Good middle ground to explore the surrounding beach. Took us 45 mins to travel to Cave Beach and 45 mins to Ulladulla on the opposite directions. And the closest beach is only 7 mins drive (Cudmirra beach) Road within the town could have been better as there were lots of pot holes. One supermarket which I visited daily with plenty of cafes around. Good place for the family, I took 5 teens (12 - 17) and was comfortable to let them go to the shops on their own.

The room was adequate warm & comfy. Bed was comfy.

The room was adequate warm & comfy. Bed was comfy. A/C worked well. Fridge nice & cold. Many towel’s, but no spare loo paper. Front glass windows were a bit grotty. Motel should supply Salt shaker. The Balcony was lovely with a cool breeze blowing at night perfect for holiday chatting & relaxing. I would stay there again. We walked to the jetty to do some fishing. 😀😁👍🏻 You need to bring food if you are staying over on Christmas…. Nothing at all was open. Batesys takeaway & seafood was amazing with fresh oysters & prawns 🦐 Sussex boat hire was very friendly. Pub next door 👍🏻

It was great. The cabin was an excellent size and very comfortable, with everything we needed. It was very clean, the linen all appeared to be brand new (the towels were better than most expensive hotels we’ve stayed at). Lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around. Short walk to the high street, which was very convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s not fancy by any stretch, but it’s exactly what you’d expect from a little cabin near the beach and so much better than similar places that we’ve stayed previously.

Excellent location opposite Berrara Creek with easy access to beach & bush. The house is well equipped with multiple places to relax & chill with an outdoor bbq & eatery area plus multiple lounges on the deck. Quiet & relaxing with great hosts who wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Recommended if you want a bit of peace & quiet but still only 10 minutes from Sussex Inlet

Location is great. It’s on the river and walking path, very close to shops and other facilities. It was nice and clean, bed is super comfortable and having reverse cycle was a bonus in the winter. I’d definitely stay there again and recommend Sussex House to anyone that asked where to stay in Sussex Inlet

There's a 'wow' factor that exceeds your expectations for a stay opposite the RSL club and the closest walk to crystal clear waters of Sussex Inlet. The accomodation with palm trees and lighting gives you the sense of a Fiji resort...

Not much has changed in Sussex Inlet over the years. The same can be said about the SIM. It's comfortable, clean has a good shower and is right in the middle of town. It's no luxury resort, it's just a basic brick motel.
