FAQs about hotels in Dubai

Dubai - The Jewel of the Desert

Cosmopolitan and architecturally stunning Dubai is a truly global city. With its ultramodern skyscrapers, the artificial archipelago of Palm Islands and the world’s largest shopping mall, Dubai offers something for every taste.

Surrounded by a desert, this city is the futuristic gem of the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates. With chic yachts at home in the city’s upscale marina and the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake and its Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest dancing fountain, visitors might momentarily forget they are in a desert.

You can relax on a beautiful sandy beach, explore the local souks and their treasures or enjoy a trip to the amazing Dubai Desert. Don’t forget to stop at Burj Khalifa’s observation deck and admire the city panorama from over 452 metres.

Dubai has even more to offer: camel races, hot air balloon flights, fast rides over sand dunes and even snow skiing! Make sure you try local cuisine and visit the Spice Souk, famous for its thousand and one spices.

Getting to the city centre from Dubai International and Sharjah International Airports is easy. Whether you’re looking for a stunning luxury hotel, a beachfront suite or an intimate resort, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Dubai adventure.

There are plenty of places to visit, see, and enjoy. It’s best to plan and book some venues and tickets in advance to avoid long queues and potential sell-outs. Evening and night are the most lively times, so consider spending several days to get the full experience. Transportation is reasonably priced, with options like the metro and taxis; buses are also available, though I didn’t use them. Just keep in mind—Dubai is not a cheap destination!

I believe we could have stayed longer since there are many attractions and places we could have visited. Some places are crowded while others are not. For instance, Dubai Island is a place where we spent a lot of time given how clean, peaceful and accesible the place is. Whila Dubai mall is a must. You need to consider the time to visit it given that it may be sometimes too crowded. We ate different type of food. We found fast food but also chinese, japanese, tukish and local.

Burj Khalifa, Aquaventure ( if you are with kids), Desert Safari, Dubai Mall, JBR beach, Souks, riding Metro, just walking arround trying stretfood are must if you visit Dubai. Metro is supercheap and fast way to travel. Uber or Careem works perfect and it is affordable since service is much cheaper than in Europe. Mainly we were eating at Food Corners in Dubai Mall wher you can eat all international food you can imagine and it is very affordable. We also reccomend to eat out at some nice restaurant in Old part of Dubai. Dubai Marina is a nice walkable place with lively nightlife , clubs...

It is very easy and cheap to get around either by taxi or public transport, much cheaper than many other cities I have visited. Even the limousines are much cheaper than UK taxi's. I found that eating out was very reasonable too. Much cheaper than I was expecting

Dubai need six full days to visit all the places. Few palces I missed due to less no. of days. Few centre of attractions are as under: 1. Muesum of the Future (https://museumofthefuture.ae/)--Day 1 (FN) 2. Gold Souk Market (Day 1 (AN) 3. Burj Khalifa (https://tickets.atthetop.ae/atthetop/en-us)-Day 2 full day 4. Dubai Mall- Day 2/ 5. Cruise night with dinner -- Day 2 (https://www.getyourguide.com/ or 360adventures.ae)---book with pickup and drop from hotel. Dubai Marina is very far off from City centre (Dubai mall, bur dubai and Deira). Last metro from DMCC Metro station (nearest metro from Dubai marina-2 KM) is 11 PM 5. Dubai mall - Day 3 (FN) 6. Dubai Desert safari (https://360adventures.ae/) or https://www.getyourguide.com/ -- Day 3 (AN) 7. The hotel is located at the seaside and has its own access to the beach. It's equipped with all the necessities for the beach active recreation: sunbeds, beach towels, water bottles, football, volleyball, tennis, ping pong games, etc. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of dishes. WiFi works perfect even on the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day. La mer is a newly built area and everything is brand new there. There is also a shuttle bus from the hotel going to Dubai mall and metro station.

The hotel really exceeded our expectations. It has the best location literally 30 seconds walk and you're down on the most beautiful part of the Dubai Marin near Pear 7. JBR beach can also be reached by foot in 15-20 mins tops. Marina mall is 3 mins walk and you can find everything you need there. The staff was extremely polite and helpful and I would like to say special thanks to Mehedi Pathum Tarak who was taking care of our room and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.
