Quartos Abelha, hotel in Sines

Situated in Porto Covo, 300 metres from Bay of Porto Covo Beach, Quartos Abelha features views of the city.

Quartos Abelha, while budget accommodation has everything you need and more. We visited during the Sines festival which draws 50000 people to the area and even so, the price of this accomodation was still very reasonable. It is really 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach. They provide coffee and tea in a room that also includes two fridges and a freezer. They also supply buiscuits and breakfast cereal. Extras which you would not expect included ear plugs and a beach umbrella. Although on the main street, we did not have problems with noise - although we did bring along a fan which meant we could close the door that opened out towards the street Finally, no problems finding a restaurant. The main street is full of them!

SonegaHostel, hotel in Sines

Set within 12 km of Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina and 13 km of Pessegueiro Island, SonegaHostel offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sonega.

The hostess was really sweet and nice even though we showed up at almost 11pm. She only speaks Portuguese but communication was OK nevertheless. The room itself is big enough and the private bathroom spacious enough. The town is small and quiet and allows for a good night sleep. We also had a nice breakfast at the small bar next door!

Excellent location and very comfortable room for a few nights. The hostel has a nice vibe and has good facilities with a terrace. There was an issue with checking in however as there was no one at reception and we could not get in the building. After making several calls, managed to get through and check in but was a bit of a faff. Overall nice stay.

It was a good...clean...well run hostel. It had a well equipped kitchen...paper towels in the kitchen. Hand sanitizer throughout. Lots of washrooms throughout, that were stocked with soap and paper towels. The 4 bed dorm I stayed in was spacious. It had large bunk beds, a private washroom, and locker with lock. All in all a good location to start walking or biking the coast of Southern Portugal.

The hostel had everything you need: towels, great kitchen facilities, bedside lights, good bathroom facilities, Power points etc. One of the cleanest most comfortable hostels I’ve stayed in in Portugal. The bunk beds were very sturdy and has excellent mattresses and pillows.

The hostel is great and the host is lovely! They provide free towels, you can lock your staff away safely under the bed and you can help yourself to some food for breakfast. The host even lent me an umbrella for the beach ❤ The position is very convenient, it's a 7 minutes walk from the bus stop (rede expressos, flixbus) and a 3 minutes walk from Praia Vasco da Gama. Recommended!
