In the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter district of Kurashiki, close to Shinkeien Garden, 滔々 倉敷民藝館南の宿 toutou, Mingeikan Minami no Yado has free WiFi and a washing machine. We loved the interior of the room, made us feel comfortable and at home. The area is very quite and peaceful, during the mornings we’d place the CDs offered in the room while eating breakfast, the watermelon and bread that was offered were very fresh.

Situated in remote island of Shiraishi, Shiraishi Island International Villa offers accommodation surrounded by nature. Very beautiful villa on top of a hill with a great view. Manager was very kind and helpful. The island is perfect for a remote rest and its inhabitants are so welcoming.

The owner was really nice and spoke English and was able to help us call the Okayama Castle where we lost something and help us get it back. Clean kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable living area and nice Japanese style rooms.

Nestled in the beautiful countryside, Okayama Hostel Igusa is a traditional 50-year old Japanese-style home that has been renovated into a guesthouse. If you love a lovely atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Hayashima is your city, and this traditional guesthouse feels like a fairy tale. It's an absolutely amazing place. You can relax in the main room, enjoying a drink or a meal while taking in the view of a traditional Japanese garden filled with birds and dragonflies. The garden and quiet environment are wonderful. The town is small and cozy, making it a perfect base, just a few stops away from Okayama. The guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful.

Guesthouse Life Field offers apartments just a 5-minute walk away from Kurashiki Station. Okayama Station is a 15-minute train ride, or 30-minute drive away from this guesthouse. Very cosy apartment. The instructions were clear, the host was very responsive and accommodating. For those travelling by car: there is also a parking spot (paid). The location is 10 minutes away from the center, which provides restaurants, izakayas and karaoke bars.
