at first we thought the location is far from attractions but as it turned out it was right near the old Hakodate buildings and the trails up the mountain to the observation over the city. it is also very near to the red buildings the city is famous for.

The hosts were delightful and even gave us a lift to avoid the rain. The pension was gorgeous, truly standing out with its distinctive style and attention to detail.
Really great location to the city center.
Loved the onsen and library/relaxation area overlooking the city.
Staff were always friendly and there were also select your own pillows to suit your sleeping styles
Good parking service ticket
Great location for the train station. Plus lots of great restaurants in the area. Comfortable bed and access to an onsen but we didn't get the time to use it.
Quiet room despite being next to the train station.
Great shops around that area too.
Very spacious and comfortable guesthouse, well equipped with amenities. Located at the heart of Hakodate and close to everywhere we needed to go.
As we were catching a flight after our stay, the host also provided a scale for us to weigh our luggage which was extremely helpful.
We also loved the huge collection of One Piece figurines that the owner has collected over the years. Would definitely book again if we were to come back to Hakodate.
Great location right next to the train station and the harbor, so you can see the boats from the breakfast room! Very clean, spacious rooms with views. Breakfast was delicious and there were a ton of different options. Located in a quiet area, but you're a short walk from several great restaurants. We hope to be back soon!
The hosts are the sweetest people and so helpful! They went out of their way to assist me and the inn is so charming. The room itself was so cute and everything I needed was available. I love how they decorated the place, it was such a cute vibe. The location is perfect, so close to the station. I will definitely stay here again when I go back to Hakodate!
Pension Jokura is the jewel of the city. The location, property, and the facilities are near perfection. I had my first experience in the traditional Japanese room with tadami and futon which are comfortable and clean. Most importantly, a warm welcome and mindful hospitality of the hosts made my day.
Immaculately kept Ryokan in a great location. Teishoku breakfast was delicious and featured local specialities. Caught up on much needed sleep in a very comfortable, pleasant and quiet room.
