Absolutely beautiful house with the best facilities of any we’ve stayed in! The cinema and games rooms were a huge hit with the children (and big kids!!), as was the pool area with its gorgeous views. Good location for exploring the Douro valley. Well appointed rooms and fantastic host with great communication. Thank you!
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Super friendly, beautiful location, amazing wine and port. Dinner with wine pairing and the history behind the farm and wine making in the Duro valley is fascinating.
Stunning infinity pool & view. Beautifully crafted property…renovation of a former farmhouse. Super-friendly staff. Special mention of Edmunda….friendly, helpful & a real diamond.
It was quiet on my midweek one night stay, so I was offered the use of the garage for my motorbike.
Hope to return with my wife or a group sometime.
The room was spacious and beautiful
Felt very authentic Portuguese farmhouse
Loved the view
Loved the pool
Loved the buffet breakfast and the homemade baked goodies
Hosts were helpful and wonderful
A very nice Douro Valley finca superbly located. Dinner was ok and wine tasting and presentation very good. Owner is very knowledgeable on wine etc. A rustic place adequate to the farm surroundings.
Loads of space. Room was large and comfortable. A little rustic as you would expect on a farm. Host Luis was warm and generous. He also gave good recommendations for a day drive and Douro viewpoints. We were able to just stroll around the farm and vineyards with a friendly dog leading the way. Wine tasting dinner was educational and a must try. We have no regrets about staying at the Quinta.
this was by far our favorite part of a 2 week trip to Italy and Portugal. Dr. Caesar, George, Andre, Isabel, Hanna were gracious hosts at their Quinta. We stayed for 2 nights and did the whole wine tasting, dinner and wine stomping. Caesar is a wealth of knowledge and is so interesting. Again I can’t say enough about this experience. I am well traveled and a farm stay here will not disappoint.
Amazing location, rural but brilliant. great to get perspective from local farmer. food amazing, dinner and wine flight is a must. not posh but properly quirky!
A family farm located in the heart of the beautiful Douro Valley near the Paso de Rigua. A magical place with a friendly and courteous staff and we received a really warm personal treatment. We booked a tour with wine tastings and dinner and really enjoyed the excellent flavors and wines of the farm. In the evenings we enjoyed the farmhouse in front of the wood-burning fireplace and the special atmosphere that the design of the room with the family's treasures radiated. For us it was an experience we would love to experience again.
