Boasting many national treasures, Washington DC is the US capital and home to the world’s most iconic presidential building – The White House. Most visitors start at the National Mall, a huge park stretching from the Potomac River to the Capitol Building. It also encompasses the Washington Monument obelisk and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, of particular significance in US civil rights, commemorated by the latest addition - the Martin Luther King Memorial.
Also here are 11 of the city’s 17 incredible Smithsonian museums, including the unmissable National Museum of American History.
If all this gets too much, wander around Georgetown’s Colonial buildings and take a break in one of the student cafés. Many world cuisines are represented in Washington DC and the city also has its fair share of live music venues, with a surprisingly good jazz scene. The National Symphony Orchestra is based here and the Kennedy Center hosts a range of productions.
DC’s planning policy means there are no skyscrapers, so if you fly into Washingon Dulles Airport over the city, you see its white buildings standing proud. The city is also served by Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport and Washington National Airport. All are quite a way out, so leave plenty of time to get there from your hotel, apartment or guest house booked through Booking.com.

We enjoyed that we were able to walk to mostly all of the attractions we wanted to see. The Museums were very informative. We went to the Holocaust Museum, Air and Space Museum, and the US American Museum. All of these were insightful. I wish we had more time to have spent in each of these. We also went to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, WWI Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and Arlington Cemetery. I highly recommend staying in DC at least a week if you can afford it.

Washington DC is definitely for the upper class of people like Senators,Judges , ect. If you are disabled get a scooter before you get there. Lots of young people and everybody walks or rents a stand up scooter or bike. It's not easy to get around. And the police don't know nothing about where you are . Pittaful. Too busy for the disabled
Even the museums want to charge for a scooter with unbelievable prices. Walmart has underground parking and on top parking. Just limited handicap ♿️ parking.

Get ready to walk ALOT in DC!
Get ready to walk ALOT in DC! because there are so many great things to see. DC Circulator is a gem if you want to save $ and steps between Mall sights. Metro rail card plus google maps makes navigating the city simple and cheap. Take advantage of a bench to stop and be in the moment in such a bustling city. Choose a few museums, don't spoil the vacation by doing too much. A visit to DC is a reminder that we live in a great country!

African-American Museum was the best it took me 3 days to get through it and I loved it. I also love the free museums and also the people were generally nice I don't know if they were from here or from out of state but they were generally over all night. And the location on 14th Street even if you don't have a car you can get on the bus and go from the top to the bottom. And I love the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial and also I like the black lives matter Plaza and you can also see the White House

Going to Washington DC is simple and transportation system works great. I went during a weekend holiday and have no complaints as far as traveling using metro. I got the unlimited 7 day local metro card. It's easy to go site seeing by metro. Very beautiful streets with gorgeous trees and plants. There are restaurants all over to walk in and sit down for a bite or a meal to eat. Recommend getting a train map to guide you around to areas for sightseeing.

It’s a great town and the offering of many wonderful restaurants may be in large part why. It’s got all the problems that big cities have but there is a noticeable kindness and decency among people there that you don’t readily find in other large metropolitans like Paris or New York.
it was a very good experience!!!! I think it is one of the best examples : price =quality
Room was perfectly clean
There were all necessary facilities
Very quiet and warm.
Very comfortable beds
Enough space for three people.
The parking is not so far away from the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. There is a building with a lot of empty space for your car.
It is very important in Washington DC availability of parking.
