We let the property know that we had two dogs. They assigned us a room that did not have the doggie patio. When we called, they moved us to the room with the doggie patio, but added $60 in charges for two dogs for one night.

The views were wonderful. Hearing the river was a big plus. The hosts were wonderful! Night sky was amazing!
Nice little Colorado Town. Lots of shups, eateries, and a couple of really good ice cream parlors. Two blocks out of town and you are at the Arkansas River. YES, the Arkansas River starts in Colorado and is one of the premier White Water Rafting destinations in the state, especially during the Spring Runoff. There is also excellent trout fishing on the Arkansas River with walking distance of downtown Buena Vista. The week we were there this year (2024) we caught several nice big Browns and even a Rainbow. Mountain views here are excellent and a twenty minute drive frown city center will take you to the top of Cottonwood Pass at 12,126 feet above sea level. There are multiple mountain hiking trails even higher from there. If you are really adventurous you can explore the ghost town of Tin Cup from the mining days in Colorado. If you just want to relax, there is the wonderful Charlotte Hot springs and botanical gardens in Buena Vista!

Being from Colorado, we are familiar with the area and always enjoy our travels to this part of the state. Mt. Princeton is beautiful, though all pools not conveniently accessible for those who struggle physically - but still breathtaking.

An historic, picturesque town that we wish we would have had time to explore more. After 47 years working freight trains out of Chicago for the Chicago & North Western Railway (21 years) and Union Pacific Railroad (26 years), I really wanted to check out the model railroad club located in the museum downtown (which I assume models the former narrow-gauge railroad that once served the area; the Denver, South Park & Pacific/the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison), but we didn't have that kind of time to spend doing so. We had one dinner at House Rock Kitchen and one lunch at Simple Eatery & Spoon It Up, both of which are exceptional restaurants, prior to the family wedding activities we were there for.

Not having spent time in Buena Vista in over ten years, I became reacquainted with this little town. Was very impressed with the updates to the town. It seemed very busy on a Saturday night. Many more night spots than what was there before and all of them were busy. I was very impressed.

We were upgraded to a brand new Queen Suite at the Creekside site. We loved the fireplace and being able to hear the rushing water of the creek from our balcony. Everything was PERFECT! We will be back!

Buena Vista is a lovely area.
Buena Vista is a lovely area. Very scenic with lots of activities such as hiking and site seeing. The mountain views are wonderful. We visited several restaurants in town and the food was excellent everywhere we went. The town and surrounding areas are easy to get around with no traffic or parking issues.
We loved Buffalo Peaks Lodge, a stunning house just outside of Buena Vista, surrounded by nature and the Golf Course. Perfect place to relax after a long day on the road. Paz was absolutely lovely, she served us a delicious breakfast and shared us many stories and interesting advises on the area. We would love to be back one day! Thanks Paz!
This is a very luxurious hotel with beautiful architecture and stylish design. The TV was awesome and packed full of entertainment options, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom really nice.
A classic mountain town motel that's been kept updated as times goes by. Great location in downtown Buena Vista. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
