I liked that it obviously used to be a higher end hotel based on furnishings, layout, interior design of the room. The rooms were spacious. It perfectly accommodated our large group. We booked 2 units of 3-room suites. I liked that there was a kitchennette. I loved that the aircon is very cold. I liked the beds, which were just the right softness and comfiness.The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi was perfect; fast and full coverage. I would have loved to stay when it was newly built.

Savoy Hotel and Sebastien Hotel are great, clean and have value for our money. Savoy is perfect as it has visit to the beach included in your stay, for free. The food is a little off to me..the pancit (fried noodles) was swimming with oil, same with longganisa, but we still find it nice. The welcome drinks (water and water with fruit slices) is an added come on. Rooms are great.. the pool is perfect but a little small. One set back is you cannot visit your friends who are in other floors above your accommodation; you need to call your friends and or see you in the ground floor before you can visit their floor. The key card doesnt take you anywhere if your accomm is on the 3A, except in the pool which is 3rd floor and the function hall, 2nd floor. The restaurant is quite small because of the big population of guests.

Mactan New Town is over priced and not a location I would consider visiting again. The hotel breakfast choice is very poor an limited, certainly not good value for money. The transport system, taxi's and tricycles prey on tourists and the cost they try to charge is outrageous. It seems that many of the hotel names have adopted a British theme, i.e. Belmont, Savoy etc, as if they want to mirror the likes of Knightsbridge or Kensington, and charge the same for facilities. The restaurant provisions do not cater for European cuisine. Mactan has very little to offer and it is not somewhere I will visit again, 4 nights was much too long.

The most welcome like was the service by the staff at allegro, ( specially during the Wednesday buffet dinner, where I brought my elderly parents and some other family members in) the main pool guard, the bellboy, the crew on the seaside for jet skis and other activities,
The most hated we had was during check in ...where Theressa at reception was rude, unhelpful, the tune of her voice is so UNWELLING to help the guest.
The front desk manager DENNIS....was very apologetic and helpful...to correct sorting things out.

This property is unbelievable views and landscaping is amazing so many people are here to care of your needs the restaurants are very good food the pool side bar is very good to go out of there way to make a cocktails they way I wanted it
The location is near Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The hotel also provides shuttle service every hour to the airport. The room is spacious and clean. The staffs are also friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but the tastes are delicious. Coffees are brewed every time when a customer orders. Recommend for the travellers to check in their early flights.
