Stayed 2 nights on our way from Florence to Bari. Pool was nice and the view is stunning. Bed and Bedroom were nice and cosy. In general we had an OK experience for a 4 star Hotel. They are investing into renovation at the moment, what gonna benefit future visitors for sure.

San Gimignano is a wonderful place and Hotel Da Graziano has completed the experience! My regret is haven’t stayed here more days! The Hotel is perfect! The people on the front desk were so kind and lovely. The breakfast was so good. The room makes you feel like a small village in Tuscany because they are on the other side of the street. A place so quiet and silent. The view is spectacular, and you can go walk to the old city. Our car had a good place to stay too. But, the highest point of these is the Ristorante da Graziano, in the Hotel: the food is amazing, the service is attentive and the garden where is the restaurant reminds you of a film scenario! Don't forget to try it, you will have a fantastic gastronomic experience associated with fantastic accommodation!

Just 1.5 kilometres from the historic centre of San Gimignano, Hotel San Michele offers a peaceful location, Tuscan-style accommodation with free WiFi and views of the surrounding countryside.
Lovely pool and views. Only 15 min walk to San Gimignano
San Gimignano, with the Italian sun glistening intently on its 14 remaining towers, cuts a dramatic figure from its position high on a Tuscan hill overlooking vineyards. However, it is when you get up-close-and-personal with this medieval-walled city and crane your neck to the blue sky that you truly appreciate its mesmerising beauty.
If you take away the swarming summer tourists circling the piazzas of San Gimignano, then this city offers you a wonderful trip back in time. The main square, Piazza della Cisterna, is surrounded by Romanesque buildings and Piazza del Duomo features Torre Grossa, the city’s tallest tower.
San Gimignano, originally an Entruscan village, was part of the ancient pilgrim route Via Francigena joining France to Rome. Its name was derived from the Bishop of Modena and is well known today as the Town of Fine Towers.
The 12th-century Collegiate Church of San Gimignano is a worth a visit with its wonderful collection of frescoes, and it also includes the Religious Art Museum.
Whether it is sitting on a restaurant terrace sipping some local Vernaccia wine or attending the lively Thursday Market, Booking.com has a range of San Gimignano hotels, guest houses and apartments for your stay. And just out of the city are options such as farm stays and country houses in the Tuscan countryside.
The scenery was beautiful in this area. I would recommend a car to explore a bit. Volterra was another close old city worth exploring with San Gimignano as the home base. Nearby wineries and cooking classes were also wonderful.

San Gimignano is beautiful but in itself it's a bit like a shopping mall, too nice, too clean. But it is a prefect place to visite Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, Monteregionni etc… It is a bit far for Montepulciano but doable for early birds.
If one really want to visit extensively, plan 5 to 6 nights.

Live music in piazzas. Great value city parking a short walk from historic centre. Our Hotel La Cisterna had a great location - easy to walk around and enjoy San Gimignano.

A very beautiful sight when driving among the Tuscan hills but a tourist magnet. The town itself is too touristy for my liking, it lost any originality or typical tuscan lifestyle due to the large numbers visiting. I prefer Siena or other towns or small villages near by where normal Italian life can still be seen.
Expect lots of queues, guided tours and lots of souvenir shops.

San Gimignano is a beautiful town with lots of character.
San Gimignano is a beautiful town with lots of character.
Unfortunately very popular with tourists and gets very busy between 10-4 each day. There are many car parks and coach parks for their arrival, and car parking is very expensive - 2.50euro per hour.
The restaurants and shops in the very center of the old town are aimed at this crowd, with more traditional, tastier food tucked down side alleys.
There are other more rustic towns and villages within the surrounding area which have more charm and a more relaxed/ peaceful experience
Our flight delay into Italy caused us to lose our reserved car. We were informed there's a car shortage so our car was given away and almost no taxi was available either. While lost and exhausted, the kind and generous owner saved us many times for impromptu rides and wonderful care. I told my husband that it felt like you can be lost in Italy and still amongst family. This is so true of this divine Agriturismo. I am already on planning on bringing the entire family back. Grazie Mila.
A great hotel in a beautiful part of Italy. The swimming pool was ideal for our children. The lunch and breakfast options were vast and enjoyable. Our family room was perfect and enough space for us all. The surroundings were just beautiful and only a short drive to San Gimignano. We used a transfer company who the hotel recommended. Fabrizio and Fabio were excellent drivers, always on time and approachable when our plans changed.
The stay is very close to san gimignano.
You can park your car here and not have to pay for parking if you walk to town.
The host Primetta is the cutest of all the host in Italy. She is very nice, we don't speak Italian but she tried her best to make us understand the good wineries and shop in the town. Gave us English map to understand places to not miss.
The location was stunning, just few minutes to San Gimignano and 30 minutes to Volterra. The hotel has just been renovated in some areas, rooms are nice and spacious. Breakfast near the pool was delicious and the restaurant was very good as well. A plus is the pool, with a direct view of San Gimignano’s towers.
Breakfast is at par of what you get in Italy, great selection of hams good fruits and also sweets. Coffe is Great and their dinners ale super tastefull. ALso you can buy wine that is served in dinner. From terase is awesome view on San Gimignano that is 2km away!
