One Bedroom Apartment, hotel in Barking

One Bedroom Apartment, a property with a garden, is set in Barking, 3.7 km from East Ham, 6.9 km from Gants Hill, as well as 8.6 km from Snaresbrook.

I waited for ages to check in only because the keys were not there. On booking.com they put post code only without the property number. They took ages to respond, it was so annoying.

I found the shopping area to be quite busy during the day, but I found it far from central London. At night I didn't feel safe arriving at the hotel. There were a lot of men drinking and using drugs on the streets.

Staff were willing to help and accommodate us and we requested extra pillows, they got them for us, only downside was the location of our room, it was next to the entrance of the car park, cars would beep and people smoked outside our window.

Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London,...

Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London, is a pleasant working class suburb of London. The streets were clean and during the day I was happy to see that the shops were all used and open for trade. The people were approachable and friendly (although as in most places there are bound to be others that are not). I went to a local cafe and had something to eat and drink, it was surprisingly cheap and good quality. As it was New Years eve, I had to return to the area in the early hours of the morning, however, felt safe doing so, (again just be aware of the surroundings and stay alert, but this would be the same in any area). Overall, I found Barking a lovely down to earth area.

For a 2 star hotel it rated well....staff were able to provide a fan as the room was not sufficiently cool enough for sleeping Staff were friendly and cooperative...drawback location being some distance from Barking railway station...at least 15/20 minutes walk

The room was boiling hot. there wasn't any AC available. no spare pillows and bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. shower facility was very poor. the room was very small. They call it hotel but most of the customers looked like council use this place as refuge accommodate those people. very poor quality for the money. Totally waste of money and Saturday night.

Very clean and modern place. Beautiful big bedroom and wash room. Living area was spacious and cleand with sofa, massive tv, cooker, oven table chairs. It was like being at home. Helen looked after us, she was very welcoming and friendly. All in all the place was amazing worth every penny. Toilet and shower and bathtub is better than a 5 star hotel.

I was travelling with my sisters and we just needed to use the bedroom for the nights, otherwise we were barely home. For that reason we got by and got a good nights sleep. The hosts were friendly and ready to help and answer questions when needed. 12 min walk from Barking train station and was very easy to find! And a very quiet and peaceful area!

Had a lovely stay at Ibis Hotel Barking. A bit confusing with getting there as it shows up differently on Google Maps. Hotel situated a bit off the grid, making it a better stay for people arriving by car. 10-15 minutes walk to Barkin Station. Lovely staff and good breakfast!

Was nice enough for a budget hotel on the outside of London and only a short trip to the excel (the event on was the reason for our stay) the staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was good value for money, would recommend for anyone staying a short amount of time
