When we got to our room, we opened the balcony door and there was a nest of bees living in the doorframe. It was hot that evening and we really needed to be able to have the door open for ventilation. When we brought it to the attention of the person at the front desk, he immediately gave us a new room and added an upgrade. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was spacious (as far as small hotels go). The hotel is within walking distance to many historic points of interest and we had a nice time exploring the city.
Breakfast (not included) was pretty expansive with a lot of options.

We stayed in newer loft style apartment rooms. They were great. Not fully appointed in terms of kitchen and cleaning supplies but spacious and comfortable.

Our host was wonderful. Very warm and friendly. The studio apartment was charming and had a lot of character. The grades in the kitchen and bathroom were excellent and the studio apartment #3 still had an old style character to it. Even though the bed was not the most comfortable we have slept on, we had the best sleep of our travels in Europe. The neighborhood is incredible quiet and the views from the windows were delightful.

Oloron is a most attractive town with river, parks and several bridges. Lots of restaurants and interesting architecture.
and the locals markedly friendly and helpful.
It is near to the wonderful scenery of the Pyrenees and only an hour's drive from the Somport tunnel leading into Spain.
Definitely a place to explore.

Oloron is a lovely friendly town.
Oloron is a lovely friendly town. There are currently some road improvement works taking place in the town centre. This is a great location for exploring the Aspe and Ossau valleys or as a stopping point before the Spanish Pyrenees.

Basically there is no much there unless you want to go to the chocolate factory. A short walk along the river if you want to visit allow about 2 hours but stay elsewhere as there are not many restaurants

It was a good location for our planned trips into the valleys of the Bearn Pyrenees. As the main holiday season had ended, there was, I would guess, as much to do in the town but it was a pleasant town to be based in.

Good location in the town. Free public car park in front of hotel. Good sized room, slept well. Decent sized shower and good water pressure. WIFI good. Breakfast was good, served on a tray. There is a microwave in the breakfast room, don't know if you can use it in the evening. Lady serving breakfast very pleasant.
This place has lots of character, don't be put off by the look of the front of the building.
Super, central location with garage parking. Really well equipped for a studio flat and the opposite of corporate hotels in its unique use of upcycled furniture and fittings. Most importantly, the exceptionally genuine, welcoming and generous hosts, the best we've encountered in many years of travelling. Have the breakfast!
An old building with updated facilities. Rooms are small but well laid out with en-suite bathrooms and adequate for a short stay. What you expect from a 2 star hotel.
Free parking adjacent to the hotel was a bonus, especially when it rained in the morning.
