Pippi's is along a beautiful part of the lake, only a 3k walk from Warner's Bay with cafe's and shops.
The rooms were clean and the balcony was a nice bonus with a good view of the lake.

We turned down the room we booked as it was upstairs. The room we were allocated was not refurbished. It was old but exceptionally clean. Bed needs replacing or mattress topper fitted. Fantastic water view from our door where there was a table & chairs, so we enjoyed a drink from there.
We were only there for one night & it was close to the location we had to be at 10am the next day. Yes, I would stay again. The cost was very reasonable.

I was only in Belmont a short time for a boxing event however it was my second trip there and I would absolutely go back!
I ate dinner at the squids ink restaurant which has a view of Lake Macquarie & serves excellent food! Westfield Katara is only a short drive away. Redhead beach is only a 5-10 minute drive away! It’s super easy to find your way around and there’s plenty of fishing & other activities to do!

Belmont Hotel Lake Macquarie is good value for money, centrally located to shops, local restaurants and sightseeing venues like Swansea, Caves Beach to the south and Newcastle and Nelsons Bay to the north. Staff were friendly and helpful, parking was free. Standard king room was clean and generous size, would have been nice to have a table and chair to eat. Bed and sheets were clean, air conditioning was perfect for the warm weather. Tea and coffee making facility are good but would have been nice to have refill of coffee as I stayed for 3 days at the hotel, bins weren't emptied out as well. Bathroom was clean, toilet and shower were both working fine. Overall, it was still a very pleasant stay at Belmont Hotel.

A very pleasant alternative to staying closer to Newcastle.
Nearby Gunyah Hotel and 2 sailing clubs provide good dining

I like the area it is safe, the water front just down & around the corner is the most beautiful area for a morning stroll or a picnic. Lots of shady trees & the views are great , we saw the fire works on Saturday night, the grand kids were very happy.

I only used the Belmont location as a "base of operations"...
I only used the Belmont location as a "base of operations" as it was central to the various family and extended family that I was catching up with. I could not fault the Wise Owl cafe [ate there 2 days in a row] and it's on my planed stops once I go back to Belmont - I was "ripped off" at the McDonalds and KFC drive throughs. I paid for numerous items [for myself and family members] only to find that there were items missing and or not the things I ordered. But when your driving it's not wise to pull over just to check, Certainly not worth going back to complain when they did not even give you a reciept - Belmont is Belmont. I left there in the 1970's - Not much has changed
It was a very clean and well maintained hotel I really liked that Rob & kerrie made my stay very comfortable and cleaned by tidying my room each day and made sure if there was anything I needed or done. So thank you Rob & Kerrie for everything and I be definitely back soon for another relaxing and comfortable stay 👍👍
A nice little place for a short getaway. Clean & nice size room. Staff very responsive & friendly. Considering it’s above a hotel which had music playing both nights the room is very quiet & we couldn’t hear anything. Great food from the bistro. Great location.
Room was clean and comfortable and had all we expected. Shower was big and worked well. We had a nice breakfast at the lake in the morning and we took our bikes so we could ride the fantastic Fernleigh Trail that starts at Belmont.
The hotel was great! Clean, smelled fresh and the bedding was quality. Staff were accommodating. We did the Bloody Long Walk Newcastle so we could walk to the start line. It ticked all our boxes.
