Unique, interesting, historical destination hotel in great shape! Onsite free parking. Initial room had temp control issue but staff quickly and satisfactorilly placed us in an alternate room.

A NIGHTMARE to locate key at an out-of-town address, realising this to be the case only after a lovely local recognised a photo on the email. DITTO to locate which floor when eventually accessing the key. Parking is free HOWEVER it is in a different Tower block & no information as to which floor this was located on either. Regular nightly EVACUATIONS (22nd floor is a long way to clamber down the stairwell.) The locals are beautiful & ever-so helpful with their assistance. The view across the lake & surrounding area from the 22nd floor is amazing.

Vietnamese restaurant next to front entrance was excellent . We had takeaway from there when we arrived at 8pm. The only place open and they were very obliging.
Westfield Belconnen was so convenient over the road. Perfect for stocking up the kitchen for our 8 day stay.
Stellas by the Lake was great for brunch on our first morning.
