For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

The host uncle Joe, was absolutely amazing, what a wonderful soul, we had so many laughs and chats, the dogs are so friendly and it’s a beautiful quiet cabin with an amazing fireplace, which is exactly what was needed. Really loved the stay, wanted to stay longer ❤️
Convenient from Jhb, nice cabins in the woods, sparkling clean and good attention to detail. Jeremy, Kele and Lucky went the extra mile to make our stay memorable! Nice food too!
Having the entire cabin to ourselves and the cabins are spaced out so more privacy.
Due to the surrounding area, which involved a hill, trees, you got the feel of a luxury camping experience.
The service was good.
Loved the cabin with its wooden deck situated in between the trees. Very calm atmosphere in the middle of nature. Had nice walks, lovely spa day experience. Also, very close to some very nice hiking spots which we loved; horse riding close by - loads of activities around the property. The food at the restaurant was really good. The fireplace in the cabin was great as we had a cold weekend, but it made it so cozy and even more relaxing.
Everything was absolutely perfect. This was not my first visit and I would definitely go back again. The fireplace in the winter, with load shedding, is the highlight along with a giant bathtub. The deluxe cabin really is ideal for a romantic getaway. The breakfast and dinner portions are very generous as are ALL the staff. The place is starting to feel like home.
The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety. The cabins are very private and I really liked the fireplace in the room, which was warm and cozy. The personnel is very professional, friendly, and helpful.
I really enjoyed the hospitality shown by the staff of Whispering pines. Check-in was seamless and the property was quiet and peaceful. I really liked the fireplace in the cabins and the dinner at the restaurant was great.
