TIDA Resort Yakushima 旧 屋久島海の胡汀路てぃーだ, hotel in Yakushima

Set 34 km from Yakusugi Land, TIDA Resort Yakushima 旧 屋久島海の胡汀路てぃーだ offers a terrace, a restaurant and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The accommodation has a hot tub.

This place is exceptional. We stayed in a cottage with a stunning view of the ocean, in a very quiet, green and beautiful location. There were a hammock on the terrace, a balcony and a traditional style bath. The whole house is wooden and very cozy. The breakfasts and dinners in Japanese style were amazing, I highly recommend them. They were prepared by the owner of this place. The dessert with matcha on our last dinner (panna cotta with matcha) was exceptionally delicious. The hosts are a very welcoming and friendly couple. We would be happy to return to this place again.

Cottage Yakusugi House, hotel in Yakushima

Situated 10 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, Cottage Yakusugi features Yakusugi Japanese cedar in its architecture and decor, including its walls, ceiling, pillars and furniture.

A really nice traditional house. The sliding doors (shoji) and the floormats (tatami) made the place beautiful. The doors near the beds could open and there was a insect screen door. The view from those windows was amazing! A vegetable garden with green mountains further away. I was feeling like I was in a tent. It made me happy. We rented a car at Yuko rental cars. That was very good and nearby.

Cottage Kutsuroki, hotel in Yakushima

Set 2.5 km from Harutahama Beach, Cottage Kutsuroki offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Very good option as Cottage Kutsuroki are standalone bungalows so no noise issues at all. Extra convenience of car parked right at door, easy to load suitcases etc. Very good well stocked kitchen and finally, after days of thin futon beds, nice to have “normal” mattress beds to sleep on! Good heating. Nice shower and bath adequate. Very good location at Anbo

All cabins in Yakushima
Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

It’s a beautiful wooden house near inakahama. Walking distance to Yokko valley, beaches and a bus station. The town was like out of Totoro movie, serene and scenic. I’d love to stay more if I had a chance.

Beautiful scenery, clean, kitchen fully furnished, and we all slept very well. The owner, Yuko was very helpful and spoke very good English. Our chalet was cleaned, fresh towels given and rubbish cleared on daily basis. That helps a lot, as we cook.

Very nice room and gives cabiny vibes when staying here. Hanging mat to enjoy the sunrise or sunset on the balcony. Great place to stay if you’re going to Yakushima. It’s also walkable from the ferry terminal in miyanouri but a car would be recommended.

Staff were extremely friendly, we received a full tour of the cabin on arrival as well as a welcome drink made of locally grown tankan (orange) juice and a dessert on the second night. The cabin was clean, well set up, and comfortable. It is in a quiet location and the outlook was extremely private.

A beautiful hotel with fully equipped cabins that feel like luxury in the countryside. The outdoor bath and hammock feature exceptional sea views. Beds were extremely comfortable. The food was amongst the best we had in Japan, each meal was truly exceptional. The owners are kind and caring, and can offer excellent advice about sightseeing and hikes. Renting a car is a necessity to reach this hotel, but is also highly recommended as the best way to explore Yakushima.

The whole area is just wonderful and a great starting point for exploring the island. We stayed in a spacious wooden cabin with out own kitchenette and toilet, and we had our own private bathroom with a bath that comfortably fits one person and uncomfortably two. :)) The accommodation is in walking distance from few restaurants and bus stops, but also hidden away in the nature, close to a river. The owner is very nice and hospitable and even picked us up in the city when we first arrived. We had a great time!

Mr. Nakashima, his wife and their stuff are the Most wonderful poeple. They speak very wenn english, they are always helpful and they can give very Good Information about everything what to do on Yakushima. Transport, Restaurants, hiking spots…. The Little Huts are all build by himself. The location near amnbo ist quite Good. Five minutes to the busstop. But its worth it to hire a car, so you are much more flexible. We had had the Most wonderful stay on Mr, Nakashimas place in our four week journey through Japan. Thank you 👏👏👏

An authentic Japanese hotel, on the river. Had half board which is recommended. The staff was very nice and helpful, and there was a free shuttle to the airport.

The Cottages are so whimsical and fun with a very creative design. Our group of five enjoyed being able to stay in two different cabins so we had our own privacy but could hang out together. There are several bus stops nearby or it is about a 25 minute walk to Anbo. We also appreciated that the cottages are very clean, the customer service excellent and the area very quiet.
