Staff was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages. They offer transportation to and from the MRT station. The hotspting water in the tub is perfect. The room was clean and provided all the basic amenities we needed. The room had interesting details like the japanese style wood and paper windows. Breakfast was porridge with a lot of toppings, very tasty if you like the Taiwanese style.

The location is excellent. Close to New Beitou MRT station, next to a large park and nearby many eateries and tourists attractions.
The building looks old, but the hotel floor, rooms and elevator look new and well maintained.
The room is small so is the price tag. It comes with share free to use washing machines and driers.
The best part is the lady at the front desk. She is so friendly and helpful. I forgot my personal pillow in the room after checkout. I went back to pick it up on the second day. They kept it and washed the pillow case for me.

It is a nightmare here!
When we just arrived, the associate said we could upgrade your room if you give us a 5 stars on google, so we did that, which starts the bad journey.
They gave us a separate room the 2nd floor. The hot spring is not bad, but we got all of these bug bites on the 2nd morning. I actually woke up at 2am due to these stings. We don't know what happened! Therefore, we do have huge concerns about the room condition!
Then we shared it with the associate there. They switched us to the original room we booked, which has a Very big step in the room, Very unfriendly for the kids! And they tried to give me a bottle of sparkling sweet wine for the bug stings, no other compensation! I got almost 20 stings in their room!!! I even didn't get a chance to see the mgr!!!
I will strongly not recommend this hotel!

Tamsui is a lovely place to be in - lovely coastal views (just 5 mins walk from the residence), great food options, much less crowded and noisy than central Taipei.

Great location in a little cute alley near the station and all other conveniences. The place is spacious, clean, the beds are super comfortable and super equipped. I absolutely recommend everyone and I will definitely come back. The hosts are so kind and the check in and door system is superb.
Room is clean, comfortable and spacious with a great view of the city and Tamsui River. It was a surprise that the breakfast buffet is included in the price which has a lot of varieties, really cheap for a nice hotel!
Incredible to wake up in the morning market , Staff helped me with breakfast options in the market . Great locations to get the sunset in the area and also see the hot springs just some stops away on the metro.
