Super fun two-night stay in this little neighborhood oasis. Owners are terrific and kind people, delicious breakfast and super filling (was not expecting that, thank you!). As others have mentioned, we sampled their homemade hot chocolate and the owner took us around on a little night tour of the gardens - especially loved seeing the sleeping birds all tucked in among the plants. Room, clean and comfy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property boasts a picturesque, park-like ambiance with abundant native plants and a symphony of birds. Nestled in a tranquil, secluded location surrounded by nature, it’s an ideal retreat. The hosts are warm, personable, and always eager to provide recommendations for local activities and dining. They’re also knowledgeable about the area’s flora, fauna, and Costa Rican way of life.
The breakfast spread is delightful, featuring locally made jams and freshly baked bread. Don’t miss the chance to sample their homemade chocolate crafted from cacao beans grown right on the property! The cabin itself is comfortable and equipped with modern conveniences, including ample hot water, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.
One of the highlights was spending time on the patio, where we could listen to and observe a variety of birds, including vibrant toucans. The property offers scenic trails and even a swimming pool, making it easy to enjoy a full day without venturing beyond its boundaries

The view was amazing, and the accommodations were exceptionally clean and comfortable. I liked that it was very relaxing and tranquil. Nobody around, very quiet. You could hear the wind and birds all day long and all night. The owner made a delicious breakfast each morning for us and even offered to make us a lunch to go for our excursions.
Many attractions are nearby such as Miravalles, Rincon, and Tonorio volcanoe parks, zip lining, rafting and horse back riding. A short walk off the property and we were swimming in a river with a waterfall! SO cool! Oh and the town of Guayabo was a short drive away ten minutes, where we found stores to buy food, electronics, and several restaurants. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommended. The photos don't do the place any justice. It was way better than it looks in the photos.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
just everything! amazing how lovely the owners Marcy and Brian created a beautiful „boutique“ style hotel. thst prooves again, that „luxury“ is not a question of big money, its of style and taste.
we had the pura vida bungalow and loved the view and the great bathroom. excellent breakfast was served at our terrasse. very kind staff. thanks to all for one of our best stays on our 3 weeks tour in CR.
We arrived around 5pm, get acquainted with the room, then had a nice meal at their restaurant. The next morning we had a private guided tour and saw bats, sloths and more on the farm (15usd/person)
You'll experience full in costa rica. We also had a half-eaten banana on our porch in the morning - monkeys :)
From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by the whole family; our stay was a highlight of the trip. We were treated with such care and attention and felt it was very personal to us.
The little cottage we stayed in was in the garden…beautifully private and quiet. We loved hearing the birds in the bushes and trees next to the terrace.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and kitchen, although small, very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and although no air con…the fan worked very well.
They should ask the guest how do they want their eggs cooked. And the toast was a little greasy/salty. Could have some fresh fruit added.
Location was great. It’s quiet. Access roads could have some improvement.
Nature trail was great.
Welcoming and beautiful cacao farm property.
The cacao tour is very interesting, people are very nice, excellent food and magical private hot tub area. You can even dip in with a jungle view and listen to your own playlist. Charming cabinas all in wood and fully comfortable with good shower.
Nearly everything was fantastic! The price can’t be beat. We planned to drive to Rio Celeste to go hiking but then we were told there are private hiking trails to a waterfall at the lodge. We opted for this hike instead and had zero regrets. We got the entire waterfall and swimming hole to ourselves and saw frogs and butterflies on the path! Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The cabin itself was charming and comfortable.
Surrounded by nature and a beautiful garden, the bungalow was very nice with a great view on the volcano
