On this tour, you’ll gain an introduction to astronomy and observe celestial objects. Led by an expert guide, you’ll use a solar telescope to watch solar flares, sunspots and other current phenomena.
You will then make your way to one of the best stargazing spots in Mauna Kea. On the way, you'll pass by Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, two of the tallest and most massive volcanoes on Earth. Your guide will share insightful facts about these volcanoes.
The stargazing experience through a Dobsonian telescope will let you observe galaxies, nebula, star clusters, planets, double star systems, the moon and more. Before heading back to your accommodation, you will be served coffee, hot chocolate, and dessert from a local baker.
