Chake Chake is located in the middle of Pemba island about 15 minutesâ drive from Karume Airport and it is situated on a hill with a view on the bay where the tides determine when a dhow can enter the harbour. It is some few kilometers from the only airport on the island, Karume Airport, and is well served with banks, post office, hospitals and other essential services. Chake Chake is an unofficial capital of Pemba with most of government offices.
