This walking tour will allow you to see the highlights of one of Romania’s biggest cities that dates back to the 13th century – Timisoara.
During the tour, you’ll get to know stories of historical innovations such as the fact that Timisoara was the first European city to use electrical street lighting and horse-drawn trams. As you follow your guide around the downtown area, you’ll stop to admire buildings with Art Nouveau and Baroque facades. You’ll also visit Victory Square with its Orthodox Cathedral and Romanian National Opera House.
Later, you’ll take a stroll to Liberty Square where you'll see the Old City Hall. Finally, you'll head to Union Square to see a variety of impressive religious structures – the Catholic dome-church and the Serbian Orthodox cathedral.
