This guided tour will take you to Gdańsk's Main Town, with two perspectives, one from a historical standpoint and the other, with some humour. You'll hear about the highs and lows, ups and downs and times of prosperity and times of hardship.
You'll learn about how states tried to control the city, why Crusaders visited and what types of people have lived here throughout the years. You'll find out where the wealthy relax and why there are such intricate water gates in the city.
Your tour will begin at the Renaissance-era gate where you’ll see different viewpoints of it and perhaps even hear the tower's carillon bells. From the medieval street – a favourite of locals – you’ll see the fortified water gate from a short distance, underneath and take a walk around it to see the figures held inside the transept.
