Shortly after midnight, you'll set off for the ferry port to cross over to Strand. Following a brief journey inland, you'll start your four-kilometre ascent to Preikestolen. For the next two to three hours, you'll pass diverse landscapes with dawn slowly approaching. You'll walk through forests, along a wooden walkway crossing a swampy meadow, over a scree field and past several lakes.
Just in time for the sunrise, you'll arrive at the natural granite plateau also known as Pulpit Rock. Thanks to its elevation of 600 metres above the Lysefjord, you can enjoy unrestricted views of the surroundings.
On your way back, you can again spot the natural sights along the way, this time in full light and colour. You'll return to Stavanger in the morning, allowing you to directly go on another adventure or to simply recover for the rest of the day.
