Tønsberg (one hour from Oslo with train) is Norway's oldest town, and the region is considered the epicenter of Norway's rich Viking history, remaining highly active throughout the year. This is where the most significant Viking Age discoveries were made. Have you heard of the Oseberg ship and the Gokstad ship? They were found in this county, and this is where living Viking activities are being revived.
