Burgh-Haamstede Self-guided Nature Walk

An interactive game that will take you to see century-old pine trees and wildlife

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

On this tour, you will hike a seven-mile nature trail in Burgh-Haamstede where you will get to see hundred-year-old pine trees and several bird species such as the goldcrest and grebes. A downloadable game for a mobile device will help you navigate the trail. The game features an interactive quiz that you can do during the hike. Each correct answer will provide you with the opportunity to protect one square yard of rainforest in Costa Rica through the Oasebos Foundation.

    Please note this is a self-guided tour. No one will meet you at the starting location.

    After checkout, you will receive instructions on how to download the smartphone application and access your game. Once you are logged in, you can select your tour language and start your game immediately.

    You can start and pause the game at any time along the trail to take a break or eat a snack.

    Please bring your own hiking equipment.

    Dogs are permitted on the trail provided they are on a leash.
