Mirissa is one of the best places in the world for whale watching, especially for the most famous and largest marine mammal, the Blue Whale. Actually, it takes only six to nine nautical miles from Mirissa Harbor to reach whale habitats. We have been operating whale-watching tours for the last seven years, and through our experience
Our whale-watching tours start from Mirissa harbor, and most of the time whales can be seen very close to the Mirissa coast. Some days it takes several hours as they swim away for food in the deep sea. During our journey to see blue whales, we can also see several other whale species, dolphins, and other marine life.
Killer whales, sperm whales, and Bride whales are the different kinds of whales we can see. Spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and Riso dolphins are the various dolphin types. Also, green-back turtles, whale sharks, Flying fish, and Tuna fish are other marine species that can be seen on some days.
