The Plain of Jars is the largest megalithic site in Southeast Asia, with an estimated 500 to 1,000 stone jars scattered across a wide area of low hills of Xieng khouang. The jars are mostly arranged in groups of ten to hundreds. The origins and purpose of the jars are unknown. It is possible that they were used for burial or storage of food or water.

Itinerary:

Day: 1/ Pick up at Eric home stay Ban nam chat 4 hours trek to Plain of jars group 1, keep continue to group 2. guide and local guide arrange Lunch, dinner at camping area.

Day: 2/ Morning bird watching, trek up top view point after breakfast starting trek back to Eric home stay Ban nam chat.
