Discover the vibrant charms of Kagoshima by crafting with upcycled materials abundant in history and cultural significance. From luxurious Ōshima Tsumugi and remarkable Yakusugi cedar, to locally produced cotton and soft, sustainably dyed Kurobuta leather—you’ll be able to work with some of the things that give Kagoshima Prefecture its diverse and alluring culture.

With a variety of options, you’ll find the perfect workshop to suit your interests. Your host, a former curator, will guide you step-by-step with easy to follow instructions. Travelers and locals alike will also enjoy learning more about Japan’s oldest prefecture over green or black craft tea. We have plenty of stories, historical trivia, and can’t miss recommendations that we're excited to share with you!

In collaboration with a non-profit organization, our proceeds also benefit disabled members of the community. Please ask us for more details!
