On this guided tour, you’ll explore some of Ravenna’s UNESCO-listed Early Christian monuments that date from the Roman and Byzantine eras.
Starting at the Piazza San Francesco, you’ll walk through the city’s historic centre, stopping at landmarks including the Basilica of San Vitale, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Baptistery of Neon. While visiting these attractions, your guide will give you background details on their heritage and the significance of their well-preserved mosaics.
You'll also have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of Ravenna's Archiepiscopal Museum, which houses the Chapel of Sant'Andrea.
