This tour will take you up close to Mount Etna, one of the world’s most widely known volcanos and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll drive in a Jeep through the Etna Park reserve, reaching an altitude of around 6,500 feet. On the slopes of the mountain, you’ll learn about the lava flows that have threatened villages and visit extinct craters as well as the caldera of the Valle del Bove.
A highlight of the tour will be the opportunity to descend into a lava flow cave or tube, equipped with a helmet and professional lights to learn about the phenomenon of lava flows up close. You’ll also have time to walk along the volcano’s side craters, taking in the unique scenery.
