This walking tour will give you the chance to see the top attractions of Lucca. Starting from Piazzale Verdi, you’ll walk along Via San Paolino, past the Renaissance church of San Paolino. At the end of the street you’ll find the Piazza San Michele, the location of the ancient Roman forum. You’ll have time to see the 12th century Church of San Michele as well as the birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini.
You’ll visit Via Fillungo, with its Torre delle Ore and Torre Guinigi towers and witness the Byzantine-style mosaic on the facade of San Frediano church. Your tour will end at the Cathedral of San Martino with its Pisa-Lucca Romanesque exterior. However, if you so choose, your guide will continue the tour inside the cathedral.
