This tour will give you the chance to immerse yourself in one of Italyâs most famous and popular exports â Parmigiano-Reggiano.
Youâll get to start the day with a traditional local breakfast â a cappuccino or coffee served with a croissant or pie made with cheese and vegetables.
After breakfast, youâll put on your lab coat and head to the cheese factory. Youâll get to see each stage of the production cycle, from milking at the dairy farm to the finished product.
Youâll get to take a tour of the family-run factory. As you wander around the grounds, your local host will share the long history of this family-run farm and factory too.
To round off your tour, youâll get to enjoy a cheese tasting, with three different Parmigiano-Reggiano samples. Youâll also get to sample local traditional balsamic vinegar, pork crackling and a glass of the regionâs famous red wine â Lambrusco DOC.
